TTSPORT DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid

TTSPORT DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid is a synthetic borate-ester glycol fluid built for high-temperature stability and consistent pedal feel in demanding street and performance driving. Engineered to resist vapor lock during repeated hard stops, mountain runs, and track sessions, it helps your hydraulic system stay firm when heat builds up.

Why DOT 5.1

  • High dry and wet boiling-point performance for repeated hard braking
  • Synthetic borate-ester base resists vapor formation under heat load
  • Low-temperature viscosity suitable for modern ABS, traction, and stability control units
  • Backward compatible with DOT 3 and DOT 4 glycol fluids
  • Supports firm, predictable pedal response under sustained load

Where It Fits Best

Performance Street

Spirited backroad driving, canyon runs, and tuned vehicles that see higher than average brake temperatures.

Towing & Mountain Use

Long downhill descents and loaded towing where sustained pedal pressure heat-soaks the calipers.

HPDE & Track Days

Entry-level track use and autocross where a higher boiling point reduces fade and vapor lock risk.

BBK Upgrades

A clean fluid flush is recommended any time you upgrade calipers, lines, or master cylinders.

DOT 5.1 vs DOT 5 — Important

DOT 5.1 is not the same as DOT 5. DOT 5.1 is a glycol-ether / borate-ester based fluid that mixes with DOT 3 and DOT 4. DOT 5 is a silicone-based fluid and must never be mixed with DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1. Always confirm the fluid type specified in your vehicle's owner manual before adding or flushing fluid.

Service Notes

  • Brake fluid is hygroscopic — keep the container tightly sealed and use within a reasonable time after opening.
  • Follow the brake fluid service interval listed by your vehicle manufacturer. As a practical baseline, many street vehicles use a 2-year / 24,000-mile fluid service interval, while track users should flush more frequently.
  • Glycol-based brake fluid can damage paint. Wipe spills immediately and rinse with water.
  • Bleed in the manufacturer's recommended sequence and verify firm pedal before driving.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between DOT 5.1 and DOT 5 brake fluid?

DOT 5.1 is a glycol-ether / borate-ester based fluid that is compatible with most modern ABS systems and can be mixed with DOT 3 and DOT 4. DOT 5 is silicone-based, is not hygroscopic, and must never be mixed with DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1. Always confirm the fluid specification listed in your vehicle's owner manual before topping off or flushing.

Is TTSPORT DOT 5.1 compatible with ABS and ESC systems?

Yes. DOT 5.1 is formulated with low-temperature viscosity characteristics suitable for ABS, traction control, and stability control hydraulic units. It supports fast valve response in modern electronically controlled brake systems.

Can I mix DOT 5.1 with my existing DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid?

DOT 5.1 is chemically compatible with DOT 3 and DOT 4 glycol-based fluids and can be mixed in an emergency. For best performance, however, we recommend a complete flush so the system runs on a single fluid with known boiling-point and moisture levels.

How often should brake fluid be replaced?

Follow the brake fluid service interval listed by your vehicle manufacturer. As a practical baseline, many street vehicles use a 2-year / 24,000-mile fluid service interval, while track users should flush more frequently. Brake fluid is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture over time, which lowers the wet boiling point and reduces resistance to vapor lock under heat.

Is this fluid suitable for track days?

DOT 5.1 offers high dry and wet boiling-point performance for spirited street, canyon, and entry-level track use. For sustained wheel-to-wheel racing or heavy track abuse, consider a dedicated race fluid and flush after each event.

Will DOT 5.1 damage paint or finishes?

Like all glycol-based brake fluids, DOT 5.1 can damage paint and finishes on contact. Wipe spills immediately and rinse with water. Keep the container sealed to prevent moisture absorption.

Actual glitter instead of highlighter
Color: Gold, Size: 3.38 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I was looking for a glow body oil that had actual pieces of glitter in it, instead of just a body highlighter (like many of the other market glow oils) and this is exactly what I was looking for. It smells delicious and is very moisturizing. It does feel like an oil, but it is lightweight. I have the sol de janiero glow oil and the main differences are the pieces of glitter vs the highlighting effect. Its not an over powering amount of glitter but just enough that if the light hits you, you can tell there is a shine

Glass bottle
Color: Gold, Size: 3.38 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Smells nice, not the shimmer I was looking for. It wasn’t super glittery like another brand I had. Also it’s in a glass bottle. So I didn’t feel comfortable packing it on my trip.
