Op dit kleine stukje waar de Rijn van oost naar west stroomt, liggen de hellingen perfect op het zuiden voor optimale zon. Deze wijn wordt gemaakt met druiven van de Lorcher Schloberg, een specifieke wijngaard (single vineyard). De druiven worden wat later geoogst (sptlese)

De biologisch geproduceerde Spätburgunder Spätlese van Weingut Asbach-Kretschmar in de Rheingau wordt gemaakt van 100% Pinot Noir druiven (in het Duits Spätburgunder genoemd). Op dit kleine stukje waar de Rijn van oost naar west stroomt, liggen de hellingen perfect op het zuiden voor optimale zon.

Deze wijn wordt gemaakt met druiven van de Lorcher Schloßberg, een specifieke wijngaard (single vineyard). 

De druiven worden wat later geoogst (spätlese) waardoor de druiven nog wat langer van de zon kunnen profiteren. Hierdoor start het proces met meer suikers wat uiteindelijk, in combinatie met de jaren hout en fles opvoeding, een magnifieke wijn oplevert. Een bak met smaak en toch niet overdreven vol en dik. Wel voldoende complex, en erg 'morish' om maar eens een populaire term te gebruiken. Hoe het ook zij: 'doe mij die maar' als het aan mij ligt, bij een runder-stoof met rode wijn, of een biefstuk met een uien-chutney.

Works pretty well, seems to be slightly underpowered. I think it would work better if the soil here were drier. The shroud around the blade would probably not jam up with dirt if the soil here is drier. I was constantly having to remove the battery and using a screwdriver to remove the dirt from the shroud. The shroud would work better if it was larger. There is an adjuster that lowers a metal guide that fits up against the concrete that helps you to keep the blade right up to the edge, make sure to lower that guide into place. The 20 Volt Max batteries I used are hard to insert and remove, but mine are aftermarket batteries, and another tool I own is also hard to insert and remove the same batteries.
