Op deze eeuwenoude bodem staan de dertien druivenrassen die toegestaan zijn in de appellation Châteauneuf-duPape. Château La Nerthe is al decennia lang in handen van de Richard familie. Het familiebedrijf ontstond in de jaren 30 als blend en bottelbedrijf voor de Parijse horeca. in 1950 werd het eerste domein aangekocht in de zuidelijke Rhone. Vandaag de dag bezit de Richard familie ruim 600 hectare wijngaard verdeeld over 3 toonaangevende Franse wijngebieden; Côtes du Rhône, Beaujolais en Bordeaux. Vandaag de dag is de gehele productie op Château La Nerthe biologisch gecertificeerd.

Witte Côtes du Côtes du Rhône van zeer hoog niveau. Het fruit staat aangeplant op het Massif d’Uchaux zo'n 15 kilometer ten noorden van Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Deze blend van Roussanne, Grenache, Viognier en Marsanne rijpt nog 6 maanden na de gisting door op de lie.
