Background
Mouse CXCL1, also known as Keratinocyte Chemoattractant (KC), is a chemokine protein that plays a crucial role in immune responses. It is primarily produced by various cell types, including macrophages and endothelial cells, in response to inflammatory stimuli. CXCL1/KC functions by attracting neutrophils to sites of infection or tissue damage, thereby facilitating the immune system's ability to combat pathogens and initiate the healing process. This protein is also involved in the regulation of cell proliferation and angiogenesis, making it an important factor in both acute and chronic inflammatory conditions.
