Background
MARCO (macrophage receptor with collagenous structure), also known as SCARA2, is an 80 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the class A scavenger receptor family. MARCO is constitutively expressed on the surface of splenic and lymph node macrophages. Its expression is induced on Kupffer cells and alveolar macrophages by microbial infection, chemical irritants, and Th1 polarizing factors. MARCO binds LPS, lipoteichoic acid, and other determinants on Gram positive and negative bacteria. It also binds modified LDL, CpG oligonucleotides, UGRP1, silica, and TiO2. MARCO is required for the organization of the splenic marginal zone and the interaction of local macrophages and B cells.

Husband wore dark cotton socks over these gel foot covers overnight and the covers picked up color from the socks. Tried hand washing, even dabbing with a bleach soaked paper towel, but the stains remained. The covers are a bit tight for men's size 11. Edit: After a few more hand washings the stains began to fade. However one tore around the leg opening when taking it off.

Helps dry, cracked feet

We use these on my husband’s cracked feet in the winter and put on a thick cream under these socks. They are nice because hair, dirt and that kind of stuff doesn’t stick to the outside. I do wish them came in more sizes and colors. They were a little small for my husband, but still worked good enough. My husband isn’t thrilled about wearing pink socks around the house. At least it’s just around the house and not out in public though.

Be aware! Once they are on, do not walk! 😂

I absolutely love these things. But the first time I put them on in the living room. The walk to my bedroom was VERY interesting 😂😂😂 I now know I need to put them on and hang out for a bit, or simply go to bed. They do exactly what I need them to do. Feet feel great afterwards! With the right lotion, only need to use one every couple of weeks.
