Songwriting Workshop with Jenn Wasner (September '25)In September 2025, Jenn Wasner (Flock of Dimes, Wye Oak) led a four week songwriting workshop built around the idea that songwriting moves in seasons. In September 2025, Jenn Wasner (Flock of Dimes, Wye Oak) led a four-week songwriting workshop built around the idea that songwriting moves in seasons. Rather than forcing inspiration to behave on a deadline, the class uses the natural world as a framework: Spring for sprouting and invention, Summer for follow-through, Fall for sharing and connection, and Winter for rest, processing, and perspective. From the start, Jenn situates songwriting as something anybody can do, and treats the cycle not as a race to a “great” finished product, but as a practice that teaches you about yourself and brings you back into relationship with your own creative instincts.

In this course, you’ll work with permission as a real technique — permission to call yourself an artist, permission to make “bad” work, permission to follow what feels true instead of what feels impressive. You’ll build small, sustainable practices that make it easier to return to writing even when you don’t feel ready. A major thread is writing through persona: experimenting with different voices (including “parts” of yourself that you might usually hide), so you can loosen the grip of self-critique and access material with more honesty, humor, and range. Along the way, Jenn shares candid context from her own creative life — how she keeps going through discomfort, how she relates to doubt, and how she’s learned to treat the creative process as something human rather than heroic.

The musical side of the workshop offers concrete ways to generate momentum at the instrument and in the arrangement. Jenn introduces a simple set of building blocks (rhythm and groove, atmosphere and texture, and chord “shapes”) and shows how starting from different elements can unlock entirely different songs. We explore approachable options whether you’re working with a full recording setup or just voice memos, and you’re invited into alternate tunings as a way to break familiar habits and create “happy accidents” that your ear can guide. Lyrics are treated as part of the same emotional world as sound: the class makes space for specificity and poetic license, for writing that’s literal or universal, and for letting melody and feel lead you into language you couldn’t have planned.

By the end, you leave with repeatable prompts, a clearer sense of how to start (and keep going), and a sturdier relationship to sharing your work—whether that means performing, collaborating, or simply making something finished enough to let it exist.

“I came away feeling less alone, and less focused on my songs needing to achieve a ‘great’ finished product that connects with everybody. For that, I’m grateful. You helped me reconnect with the innocence and play of writing a song, instead of fretting over it being ‘successful’. Thank you for your vulnerability. I loved the last thing you read to us/said to us…how teachers can only do so much, and we need to listen to our own hearts (or something like that). It was empowering. And these days especially, we need examples of humility like that."

Thank you so much, Jenn! This was such a gift. I emphatically agree with the person who said, ‘best $160 I've ever fucking spent,’ during the last Q&A. I would have gladly spent double. It was incredibly valuable, wholesome, and rewarding. You're a natural professor, and the course content and structure felt collegiate."

‘Thanks so much for offering your wisdom. It was very inspirational. You are a natural speaker and your kindness, enthusiasm, and knowledge came through. The lectures were great and provided tools to cultivate inspiration moving forward with creative projects. Loved the course would recommend to any creative minded individuals. Thank you.’

FAQ:

Q: What musical experience should I have?
A: People across all musical levels will be able to gain something from the course.
Q: What if I’ve never written a song before? Can I still participate in this workshop?
A: Yes! As with any new skill, just starting is usually the hardest part. The songs are optional and this workshop will provide the structure and accountability we all need to get started and follow through, for beginners and old guard writers alike. However, it'll be helpful to have an instrument you can play a few chords on and a way to record yourself.
Q: Is there an enrollment cap?
A: Nope! This is a lecture-style class with open enrollment. The song shares will be optional with breakout rooms of 3–4 people.
Q: Will Jenn give me feedback on my songs?
A: Due to the class size, we cannot guarantee that you’ll get Jenn’s feedback on your songs. However, our teachers are active on our song-sharing platform and may leave comments on students’ submissions.
Q: I can't make the lecture times for some (or all) of the classes. Can I still participate?
A: Yes! We send out the recordings of lectures at the end of each class day, so you can watch the lectures on your own time.

If after the first class you feel the course is not a good fit for any reason, you are welcome to a refund on the rest of the course classes. We are unable to process refunds after the second class.

The perfect wrist rest. Stop looking, just buy this one!
Color: Onyx, Size: Tenkeyless/TKL Keyboard Wrist Rest, Color: Onyx, Size: Tenkeyless/TKL Keyboard Wrist Rest
The perfect wrist rest. I used those gel and silicone wrist rests thinking the softer they are the better. Not so. This is solid hardwood and my wrists no longer ache after a long day at the computer. The size I picked is perfect for a TKL keyboard. The angles, height, and design are optimal for a comfortable typing experience. Even 8-10 hours of typing! I love Glorious' products, they come so well packaged and attention to every detail is given. Gosh, its just a wrist rest! No, it is a tool that provides comfortable work experience.

The wood is great.
I used to use a typical padded wrist pad, but am a heavy sweater. Upon reading another review in regards to that matter I decided to take the plunge on this rest. I have been a user of the Model O mouse from Glorious for a while and liked it so I trusted the company's reputation for taking gamers' needs into consideration. After using it for about a week and playing different types of games/working from home on it, I can say that although your sweat might pool during sweaty moments, it's easy to wipe off and doesn't seem to easily absorb into the wood. The wood itself is of a nice quality, I like the oak over the onyx for a more "real wood" look. There was no difference in comfort for me, you'd think being used to a padded wrist this shift would be "hard" on me, but no, I haven't had any problems. It's ergonomics for typing are also good as I notice my WPM and consistency be higher on multiple tests. All-in-all quite satisfied with the purchase, fits the aesthetic, feel, and ergonomics I was looking for.

Very well made, matches width of Keychron Q6 perfectly, great for bigger hands!
This is a nicely finished slab of wood that is an EXACT match for my Keychron Q6 in both width and height. Depthwise, this is 4", so if you got larger hands (as I do), this is a bit better than the silicone Keychron version which I believe is 3.5" or so in depth. The non-stick feet are a nice feature, and the profile is wonderful to type on. Only issue with the item I received is a small nick right below the Glorious emblem on the lower right of the wrist rest - may have been an errant tool mark. However, this doesn't detract in my own opinion, from the well-designed profile and features of this wrist rest and was easily covered with a furniture marking pen. I'm still giving this item 5-stars and getting another one for the office!

Glorious Wooden Palm Rest Durability and Stability in an Elegant Design
Color: Onyx, Size: Mouse Wrist Rest, Color: Onyx, Size: Mouse Wrist Rest
After years of using foam palm rests, I always encountered the same problem: they deformed over time, losing height, ergonomics and, consequently, their usefulness. This is especially critical when you spend between 3 and 8 hours a day at the PC for work, study or gaming, since a bad posture can increase the risk of suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This is where Glorious' wooden palm rests come in, a solution that eliminates deformations and offers an ideal height for both the mouse version and the TKL (Tenkeyless) version. Positive points • Solid and durable construction: Unlike foam, wood maintains its shape and provides stable support over time. • Elegant and minimalist design: Its finish gives a premium touch to any setup. • Effective non-slip base: The bottom rubbers prevent unwanted movements, providing total stability. • Easy maintenance: Although wood is slightly porous and can retain natural oils or residue from creams and perfumes, cleaning it is easy. Areas for improvement • Less softness than foam: Although still comfortable, wood sacrifices some of the cushioned feel that some prefer. A redesign with a foam strip on top could improve this. • Inconsistent finish between versions: I bought the mouse rest and the TKL at the same time, but noticed that the color tones were different (one blacker than the other). It doesn't affect functionality, but it does affect aesthetics. If you're looking for durability, stability, and a sophisticated design, this is a highly recommended palm rest, especially if you find it on sale. Although it's not as soft as the foam ones, it does its job of providing ergonomic support exceptionally well. An excellent complement for those who spend long hours at the PC and are looking for a sturdier alternative to traditional palm rests.

great mouse rest
Color: Golden Oak, Size: Mouse Wrist Rest
This works really well for for elevating your wrist, I use an apple trackpad it puts my wrist a little too high so what I did was put some rubber pads on the back of my trackpad to raise it up. It now gives the perfect height and good support I can even lean on it. It works well to the fact that it gives you very good support it's not uncomfortable and it's very easy to clean and looks very nice on my desk, because it's made out of real wood.
