MAINTENANCE
General cleaning instructions
Remove the mat. Take the mat outside to clean it away from the interior floor.
Rinse off loose debris. Use a hose with a spray nozzle to rinse off loose dirt, debris, and any spills. You can use a pressure washer but keep the pressure below 500 psi and the water temperature below 160°F to avoid damage.
Scrub with a mild detergent. Use a deck brush or a stiff-bristle brush with a mild, pH-neutral soap or dish detergent. For best results, scrub both sides of the mat. Focus on the drainage holes, as this is where grease and grime can build up.
Rinse thoroughly. Hose off the mat again to remove all soap and residue.
Let it dry completely. Hang the mat on a rack or let it air-dry on a flat surface. Ensure the mat is completely dry before placing it back on the floor to prevent mold and mildew growth.
Avoid harsh chemicals. Do not use aggressive cleaners, degreasers, steam, or caustic chemicals, as these can damage the mat.
Don't machine-wash. Never put your TruTred mat in a washing machine or mechanically scrub it.
Prevent slip hazards. Do not apply any wax or polishing products to the mat's surface, as this can create a slippery film.
