Tasting Notes
Appearance
Pale straw with brilliant clarity and greenish hues, displaying the expressive varietal characteristics and lively acidity of this exceptional 2025 Nagambie Lakes Marsanne from Tahbilk's Estate vines established in 1927.
Aroma
Lifted and intense citrus, spice and springtime floral aromas create a delicious promise. So fine, so delicate with a liveliness of florals, it smells like spring itself: honeysuckle, white flowers, acacia, green almond, apple and honeydew melon. The aromatic profile reflects Tahbilk's thrilling character with intense lemon, citrus and tropical fruits.
Palate
Delivered on a bright and lively palate of more citrus, tropical and ripe pear notes. Zesty fresh, it strikes a lively balance between racy, lemony acidity and a floral, citrus prettiness. Green apple, light florals, grapefruit pith and zest run long and true and crunchy fresh. Age will see further characteristic richness and complexity develop, when rich honeysuckle and citrus marmalade characters come to the fore. One of the world's rarest grape varieties with origins in the Northern Rhône and Hermitage regions of France, Tahbilk has some of the oldest vines and largest single holding of Marsanne in the world.
Pairs With
This exceptional Nagambie Lakes Marsanne pairs beautifully as a young wine with light Mediterranean dishes, Asian cuisine, grilled prawns, steamed fish, chicken satay, Thai green curry, or fresh oysters, whilst as it ages its more full-bodied character lends itself very well to richer and deeper flavoured white meat and seafood curries and stews.
Definitely one for the fans and one for those about to become fans.

"So fine, so delicate and just starting its journey. With a liveliness of florals, it smells like spring itself: honeysuckle, white flowers, acacia, green almond, apple and honeydew melon. Zesty fresh, it strikes a lively balance between racy, lemony acidity and a floral, citrus prettiness. Green apple, light florals, grapefruit pith and zest run long and true and crunchy fresh. Looking good for a bright future, should you be thinking of it. Or, open with shellfish now and enjoy."
