Unicakes are featuring beautiful unicorns and are a limited collection. This stunning series contains 8 different melange cakes that are 4 ply Ombreccino melange* + additional fluffy thread with tiny colourful sequins. 

To be specific, they're made of 4 ply of 50% cotton and 50% acrylic (melange cake) and 1 ply of fancy thread in off white colour.

Additional sequin thread is 100% nylon, and is very durable and strong but is also stretchy. Please take into consideration it likes to split due to its different texture than acrylic/cotton. It still works out beautifully and surprisingly fast. 

Unicakes are my inner child dream coming true 🦄 They're pretty, magical, colourful and each of them have a unique name 😊 Each colourway represents one character. They're printed on the label too ❤️

They're 5 ply, 500m/216g yarn. 

Suggested crochet hook/knitting needles: 4mm - 6mm

This yarn is considered to be no 3/light, DK, 8 ply, light worsted ~231.5m/100g.

 Due to its stretchiness, ready made item may also stretch after washing.  

Hand wash in mild detergent, and lay flat to dry. I have used my washing machine on a spinning cycle to get the water out and it worked just fine, yet my swatch was tiny 😊 Nylon can be machine dried in a low settings but I do not recommend it at all to any of your handmade products. 

(I've done a test for you and I've used a tumble dryer. The swatch shrunk. Do not tumble dry it. ) 

It would make perfect, light and airy knitted sweater or shawl but will be amazing with crochet hook too.

*Ombreccino melange is a cake that contains few threads in different colours, they create this beautiful melange effect. 

It is advised to start any cake with additional thread from the outside, due to the possibility of tangling as very often it has different texture than the base yarn.
