1970年代頃のSPHINXのフィッシュモチーフのブローチ。

海を泳ぐ魚がゴールドトーンメタルとエナメルで表現された、愛らしくも美しい作品。

魚の鱗に施された艷やかなエナメルは、ブラックとホワイトのマーブル模様を描いて混じり合っており、そのリアリティある色合いが素敵です。

アニマルモチーフでありながら上品な印象で、コーディネートにチャーミングな華を添えてくれるお品です。

一年を通して、色んなところに着けていただけるサイズ感も魅力。

メタル表面にくすみが見られますが、全体的には良好なヴィンテージコンディションです。

【SPHINX(スフィンクス)とは】
1948年にイギリスで創業したジュエリーカンパニー。まるで本物のジュエリーに見える、高品質で美しいデザインのコスチュームジュエリーを制作していました。自社製品の他にもKenneth Jay Lane、Nina Ricciなどのデザイナーや、ヨーロッパやアメリカの高級デパート向けにジュエリーデザインを手掛けていました。
刻印には"SPHINX"とシリアルナンバー、またはどちらか一方が刻まれましたが、需要を満たすために刻印をせず、急いで出荷していた時期も。会社は1990年代後半に閉業しました。
