Paint it black – black as night, even – with this Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Telecaster in a full-nocturnal Heavy Relic black! This Special Run Custom Shop Telecaster features a celestial of unique Fender Custom specs to send you off like a bat out of hell – fiery electronics, off-the-wall hardware, aesthetics with plenty of personality. Might want to check out this Custom Shop Tele before we turn out the lights and it disappears, eh?

The Fender Custom Shop doesn't have the reputation it's got for nothing. With this limited edition release, we're treated to some truly slick specs to bring your typical Bigsby Tele experience to the next level. This all kicks off with a two-piece guitar and bass ash body, sorted for weight. With Fender Custom Shop guitars, "sorted for weight" refers to a step in the build process where a Custom Shop builder selects a body among a lot for its light weight. This step in the process brings about a lighter, resonant ash body that contributes to the guitar landing right above eight pounds.

Along with its resonance, this Special Run Tele's body serves as an excellent base to wrap a deep Fender Custom Shop lacquer finish. The Custom Shop's Heavy Relic finish treatment ages the lacquer solidly for a weary complexion with plenty of road rash and ash grain showing through underneath. Offering a multi-dimensional look at the ash cut, this simple but stark finish treatment is more than meets the eye.

Reaching out, this Fender Custom Tele brings on a 5/4 quartersawn maple neck in a '57 Style Soft "V" profile. Measuring at a fairly prominent .915" thick at the first fret to .975" near the twelfth, the "V" shape offers the lessened shoulder of a "C" but the fullness of a "U". This neck fills out to a fingerboard lined with twenty one heavily ghosted frets utilizing Fender's 6105 "Narrow Tall" fret wire for a taller, thinner feel on the fingertips across the board's 9.5" more modern radius.

This Special Run Tele's voice is summoned by a unique set of mold-breaking pickups. In the guitar's bridge position, the Custom Shop dropped in a hand-wound 50-51 Blackguard Telecaster single-coil. To match its bright high end and full mids, this Telecaster features a Wide Range CuNiFe humbucker for a fiery one-two punch. Dual Stack HS Telecaster wiring shapes these pickups marvelously.

Supporting its high-output voice, this Telecaster features a robust hardware setup. A bone nut and Vintage-Style tuning machines land at the headstock for smooth stringing while the piece de resistance, a Bigsby B5 vibrato tailpiece, matches. Perfect for working in deep vibrato bends while retaining solid intonation, this Bigsby tailpiece delivers heaps of character and playability to this Special Run release. This Fender Custom Shop Telecaster travels with an included Strat/Tele Tweed hardshell case.

The night is young, so grab hold of this Custom Shop Tele and paint it black!

UGH SO GOOD!!!
Format: Paperback
Such a good book! The way the story is written and how the characters are portrayed leaves you wanting more! A tad bit of a slow burn but so so good and worth the wait! Personally I bought both the book and audio book because I couldn't put it down! This book had me (A man) kicking my feet like a little girl and holding back tears throughout the story. I just love love and this story is just so beautifully written!

Slow burn with a sprinkle of fantasy.
Format: Kindle
It was alright. Written well. Story was decent. But it just lacked something. It's the slowest burn I've ever read, which is fine. I felt like the knight (main character) was kind of weak and whiney… And I expected the strength of a knight! The first chapter is filled with a lot of background information, but then it's like the story doesn't really reference it again. I would have liked a bit more information that first chapter before just heading right into the story in chapter 2. Things could have been explained more in general. There could have been a lot more detail and explanation abiut the fantasy side of the book. It was just like a straight romance with a sprinkle of fantasy. Overall, it was decent, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to someone unless they asked specifically for a slow burn with a little bit of fantasy. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A Forbidden Romance With Teeth
Format: Paperback
First off: I loved the couple. Della, our acting princess, and her sharp wit and determination to survive were a refreshing change from the damsel type princess. Galeon was a woman of honour and yet so head over heels with the fake princess that she can't keep away. Birch does a great job of building a magical world and drawing you into it so that you kept turning pages until the end. And that page-turning was also spurred by the slow burn will-they-won't-they romance between the heroines who had much to lose if they crossed the line. I've purchased all three novels and will review Her Blushing Hero just as soon as I've finished.
