This Les Paul Wiring Kit is a powerful upgrade for the stock electronics in your Epiphone. Packed with high-quality components from trusted manufacturers, it’s an affordable way to significantly enhance the clarity, responsiveness, and tonal range of your guitar.

Compatibility

This kit is a direct replacement for Epiphone and other import Les Paul models. It includes Alpha 500k audio taper pots, which have a smaller shaft diameter to fit the existing control holes in Epiphone guitars without the need for drilling. Your existing knobs will also fit perfectly.

All of our kits come with a clear, easy-to-follow wiring diagram. For step-by-step installation help, check out our video guide on wiring a Les Paul.

What’s Included:
• 4 x 500k Matched Alpha audio taper pots (10% tolerance)
• 2 x 0.022µF Capacitors (Orange Drop or Paper-in-Oil)
• 1 x Switchcraft USA toggle switch – short or long frame (long frame includes deep thread nut)
• 5ft Gavitt braided push-back wire
• 1 x Switchcraft USA ¼” jack socket
• 50cm tinned copper ground wire
• Heat shrink tubing

Orange Drop Capacitors

Orange Drop capacitors are a favourite among professional builders and touring guitarists for good reason. Used as standard in many Gibson models since 2014, they’re prized for their reliability, tonal consistency, and virtual zero failure rate. When your gear needs to perform night after night, you want components that deliver the same tone every time — and that’s exactly what Orange Drops are known for.

Alpha Audio Taper Pots

Alpha pots are the preferred choice for import guitars like Epiphones due to their slightly smaller shaft diameter, making installation simple and clean. While CTS pots are often used in high-end builds for their heavy-duty construction, there’s no tonal difference between Alpha and CTS — especially when matched and metered as we do in this kit.

We supply audio taper pots for both volume and tone controls to ensure a smooth, natural response. Each set is carefully matched to provide consistent performance across all pickup positions.

Switchcraft 3 way toggle switch

Large guitar manufacturers will very often cut corners by using cheaper components, particularly on the input jack. Switchcraft have a great reputation for using only the highest quality materials in their input components, providing a significant durability and performance upgrade over cheaper parts.

Switchcraft Mono Output Jack

Regarded as one of the best in the industry. Imperial Thread, made in the USA.

Gavitt Braided Shielded Wire

Used in the majority of high-end, genuine Gibson guitars, Gavitt Braided Shielded Wire is a clever invention that utilises the outer 'braided' portion as the ground whilst the hot runs inside the outer braid to connect up your volume and input jacks. This greatly reduces the number of wires inside the cramped cavities of most Gibson/Epiphone models, making the whole re-wiring process simpler and cleaner.

Gavitt Cloth Push Back Wire

Gavitt push-back cloth wire features regularly on high end and vintage guitars, providing easy usability for neat and tidy wiring jobs. It's double insulated to prevent you burning through the outer wire and there's no need for wire stripping thanks to its push-back design.

Heastshrink Tubing

Perfect for insulating joints, and for funnelling wires through tight spots. An excellent and inexpensive way of keeping your wiring tidy. You will need a heat gun or the shaft of a soldering iron to shrink the tubing once fitted!

Xylimelts Sensitive
I was sensitive to the regular Xylimelts after a few months use. Painful gums and hives inside my lips and cheeks. The sensitive version immediately corrected the problem and I’ve been using them without issue for nearly a year. The product is a lifesaver for drymouth that occurred when I was sleeping.

Best that I have found for dry mouth.
These are the best for dry mouth at night. They mostly stay stuck. I say mostly because I have had a few come apart. I think that was my fault.

A Must-Read (or Listen) for Every Entrepreneur
Format: Audiobook
This book came highly recommended by a fellow entrepreneur I trust, and I started listening to it almost immediately after purchasing—and I’m so glad I did. Who Not How has completely shifted the way I think about growth, productivity, and collaboration in my business. It's now a staple recommendation I make to all the entrepreneurs I work with. It’s insightful, empowering, and essential for anyone looking to scale their impact by working smarter—not harder. If you’re building a business or leading a team, this one’s a no-brainer. Pros: Powerful Mindset Shift: The central idea—stop asking “How can I do this?” and start asking “Who can help me do this?”—is simple but transformative. It helped me rethink delegation, collaboration, and building a team. Actionable for Entrepreneurs: As someone who works with social entrepreneurs, this book now tops my list of recommendations. It’s a game-changer for anyone feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or trying to do everything themselves. Engaging & Easy to Digest: Whether you’re reading or listening, the content flows well and feels conversational. It’s packed with real-world examples that make the concepts stick.

Business Breakthroughs Await: Unleash the Potential of "Who Not How" in Your Ventures!
Format: Kindle
The impact on business success is exponential for those implementing Dan Sullivan’s “Who Not How” model. The strategic framework presented in the book has fundamentally altered the way entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of running and growing their businesses. The model is a game-changer, shifting from the traditional “how” to the more effective “who.” Below are a few key points: Define Your Unique Value Proposition (UVP): The model encourages businesses to articulate what sets them apart, fostering a deep understanding and effective communication of their unique value. It provides guidance on identifying specific topics and themes that resonate most with the target customers, resulting in a more targeted and impactful approach. Identify Key Tasks: The book prompts entrepreneurs to compile a comprehensive list of tasks crucial for business operations and growth, including marketing, branding, and sales. Categorize Tasks: Categorizing tasks into areas of expertise, such as marketing, operations, content creation, and sales, clarifies resource allocation for optimal results. Prioritize High-Impact Tasks: The model assists in identifying tasks with the highest impact on business growth, such as creating compelling content, building a robust online presence, and securing motivated customers. Identify “Whos”: The transformative recommendation to identify experts or partners for specific tasks has proven beneficial. Hiring specialized individuals, like a virtual assistant for administrative tasks, a marketing expert for online promotion, and dedicated customer service, enhances efficiency and customer satisfaction. Build a Team of Experts: Assembling a team of individuals with complementary skills is a game-changer. Leveraging the efficiency of freelancers, agencies, and part-time professionals fulfills specific roles, contributing to overall business growth. Dan Sullivan’s “Who Not How” model is more than just a book; it’s a strategic guide empowering businesses to leverage expertise and build a team capable of achieving remarkable results. The book is highly recommended to fellow entrepreneurs seeking exponential business growth. ~ Linsey Mills
