This altar plate has been carefully sanded down, wood burned with magical intention, stained and finished by my hand.
It is also endowed with epic Icelandic staves to amplify its magical purpose.
Description & dimensions-
This rectangular shaped altar plate of pine wood is 9 inches x 12 inches x 0.75 inches.
Using pyrography, the symbolism on this plate has a depiction of Odin who is missing one eye, in the foreground above him is the Helm of Awe for invincibility in battle and a Luck stave below to promote success and good fortune in one's conquests. Behind Odin and the staves lies a twisted tree's branches symbolizing Yggdrasil (the world tree) and its role in the story of Odin who hung himself upside down for nine days and nine nights to gain wisdom of the Runes and mysticism of the beyond.
PLEASE NOTE- this piece is made with natural wood, and may have some irregularities and slight imperfections, which makes it unique in its own way!
