The Gibson ES-150 has solidified its place in history as being one of the first successful Spanish style electric guitars, due to its attainable price point and early variations of the model being seen in the hands of jazz artists such as Charlie Christian.

This specific guitar was built in 1950, and features all original parts with the exception of the buttons of the tuning machines, which have been replaced. The P-90 pickup and electronics are all original as well and fully functioning. The tailpiece, tuning machines, and other metal components have signs of oxidation throughout. The 5-ply pickguard has playwear across the surface but is intact. The original case is structurally sound, but covered in chips, nicks and scratches. Some of the leather has peeled away from the handle of the case, as well.

The guitar itself is in great condition, with no cracks in the top, back, or sides. There is some chipping around the perimeter of the peghead, and some dinging on the bass side of the neck. On the upper bass side of the body, there are some dings, as well as on the top of the guitar on the lower bout of the treble side. The action is low and even across the fingerboard, and the tone of the instrument is clear and articulate when played acoustically.

This guitar has had some repairs and restoration work done in our Asbury Park location by our technician, Eric Collier. One of the tone bars was loose, so the failed glue was removed and the bar was re-glued properly. There was also a section of the body where the glue holding the back to the sides was failing, so the same re-glue process was done to restore that section as well. Some uneven frets were seated on the upper portion of the fingerboard. The frets were leveled, crowned, and polished where needed.

Terrible product
These made my dog very sick. The chemical smell alone is too much. Should not be aloud for puppies to chew on .

Easy to destroy, better for dogs who are light on their toys
My dogs absolutely loved these right away, the squeaker grabbed their attention instantly, and they had a blast playing with them. That said, these are made of a pretty thin latex material, and my dogs immediately shredded them. They didn’t last long at all, so I’d definitely consider these more of a short-term or supervised toy rather than something durable. Because of that, I’d only recommend them if you have dogs that aren’t heavy chewers or that you know won’t try to swallow pieces. Otherwise, they can become a bit of a mess quickly. Overall, fun toys that dogs clearly enjoy, but not built for durability.

A Funny Lesson in Toy Durability
I actually have two very different reviews for these toys. First up was the Welsh Terrier, who weighs all of 8 pounds and absolutely destroyed the pink one. The squeaker was done in under five minutes, and the poor little toy lost its ears in less than three. So for some dogs, these may not last long at all. Now for review number two: my 45-pound Shar Pei is having an absolute blast with the blue and orange toys. He shakes them, pulls on them, squeaks them nonstop, and even tosses them around, and so far they are still in perfect shape after a few days of regular play. So in my experience, durability really seems to depend on the dog and probably which toy in the set they latch onto first. They are definitely fun, soft, and engaging squeaky toys, but if your dog is a determined little destroyer, just know they may not hold up for long. For my bigger pup, though, they have been a hit.

Good for a while
Pattern Name: Tug Rag
My GSD puppy, at 6 months made shredded leather out of this in a matter of weeks. Initially it was fine but if you spend more than an hour or two playing with your dog, chances are this toy will begin to tear.
