But fate was kind to him, because the little boy was found by Aphrodite herself, who took him in and entrusted him to the care of Persephone. Adonis grew up surrounded by the love of both goddesses into a remarkable beauty, and with increasing age conquered their hearts as well. Each of them wanted to keep the extremely beautiful Adonis for herself. The dispute was finally resolved by Zeus, who ordered Adonis to spend a third of the year with Aphrodite, a third with Persephone, and a third with the one he chooses. However, his heart belonged to Aphrodite, so he chose her. They were inseparable - that is, until he went hunting. One day, despite her warnings, he went deep into the forest, where the jealous Ares - the god of war and Aphrodite's lover - was waiting for him. He sent a wild boar to kill poor Adonis. As he died in Aphrodite's arms, she wept so piteously that a red rose grew where her tears fell. And in the pool of Adonis's blood, the flower of the anemone and the pomegranate sprouted again. The pomegranate held by Aphrodite represents loss as well as the fruits of her love. While an anemone surrounds her grief and poignantly reminds her of what she has lost. And so the tusks of the wild boar that caused Adonis' fall are depicted around the plate, as well as a testimony to the beauty that can only be found in the depths of tragic loss. Even in the midst of heartache, we can find memories of love, from which springs a strange, silent beauty. This plate is part of the Metamorphoses Collection. Smooth!

Good value and looks pretty good. Faux leather feels like Naugahyde. Should be durable since that's what boat seat are made of. Could use a bit more lumbar support, but overall quite comfortable. Wider than I expected (so it must be designed for us Americans.) Casters are fantastic. Far superior to traditional plastic casters. Because these are made of rubber, they are dead quiet and smoooooth rolling across the flooring.
Took about 30 minutes to assemble. Lots of parts but the pictorial instructions were clear.
I'd give it five stars, but I wish it had a bit more height adjustment. We'll see how it holds up, but so far I'm pretty pleased.

Very pleased with my purchase

Easy to put together - instructions are good - excellent quality and the chair is comfortable. Far from being flimsy it's a heavy chair which rolls perfectly as needed. You won't find that many good chairs (if any!) at this excellent price. As always the ultimate question is: would I buy it again? The answer is YES, definitively. Great purchase.

superb, worth 2x the pricez

While this may appear to be an average run of the mill copycat sort of generic office chair, it's actually very comfortable with perfect lumbar support. Looks great, and the leather (or leather equivalent) feels durable. This sucker will last me in my WFH setup for years I do not doubt. Save yourself a few hundred bucks getting this versus some "premium" office chair... I doubt you'll notice much if any difference.

So far so good!! I bought this chair for my gamer son, he sat the springs out of his last one, so this one making it this long has me very pleased. It was easy to put together, and the quality is pretty notable, especially the wheels, super smooth rolling. It was definitely worth what we paid for it, and he finds it very comfortable, providing plenty of back support, and a stable seat for hours of gaming.
