Soft Power is a visually stunning reminder that cloth, as a unique intersection of art, culture and lived experience, stands firm in society as a place of extreme power and timeless beauty. Bristol Magazine

Soft Power highlights how cloth can play a unique role in telling our stories and is used to communicate life’s journey. As something we encounter daily, cloth creates an immediate connection between the artist and the viewer, making these stories feel familiar and relatable.

The artworks focus on storytelling. They bring to light personal and collective experiences, from the autobiographical and hidden struggles of marginalised individuals to stories shaped by major events like the pandemic.

The works share intimate and emotional portrayals of self-expression while making bold statements about empowerment and change. They highlight how cloth can connect women across cultures, recording and reflecting their experiences.

Complementing this exhibition we are collaborating with Bristol Refugee Artists Collective (BRAC) and Dorcas Dress Project (DDP) to deliver a series of free-to-access workshops with Refugees across Bristol. In these creative workshops, participants will co-create a textile installation that will feature alongside an interactive installation exploring empowerment through textiles.

Works Well, Easy to Clean, Just Watch Stove Temp
Color: Linen Gray
I bought this set to replace a stainless steel set I have after the nickel in the stainless steel cookware starting leeching into my food and causing some pretty severe reactions. I made sure to read the instructions that came with this ceramic-coated cookware before use, and made a note to not heat it on high - I have cast iron for that anyway. I appreciate how light weight this cookware is, and how easy it is to clean with soap and water - I don't put my cookware in the dishwasher. So far it appears to work well making sauces, heating vegetables, cooking pasta, but I do have to plan a little extra time to get water to boil, of course. One thought for the designers - it would be helpful if the lids fit more than 1 pot. It would be nice, for instance, for the large pot lid to fit the large skillet for sauces that need to simmer and/or reduce for a while. Overall, this cookware is an extremely good value and I'd purchase it again.

Great value, well made, but get the stainless ones for max performance on induction.
Color: Ivory
Good quality but they don't heat up as fast as the stainless steel amazon basics cookware i also have, my induction stove can boil water in less than 2 minutes with stainless, but the ceramic takes much longer, but still fast. I'm not sure of how much safer the ceramic is vs teflon pans, as ceramic is not a standardized thing. Overall i'm pleased and great value for the money

Looks good and the non-stick is great.
Color: Ivory
I really like the look of this cookware. The non-stick is great and cleanup is easy. I do notice a few scrapes in the pans. I am very careful about the utensils I am use on them so not sure what happened. But it is not too bad and not a game changer. I would like lids for all the pans so I hope those are available for purchase. Overall I am pleased.

Great quality and value
Color: Linen Gray, Color: Linen Gray
I’ve been using the Amazon Basics ceramic nonstick set regularly, and it performs really well. Food cooks evenly and doesn’t stick, and cleanup is quick. The handles stay cool, and everything feels sturdy. Looks luxe. Color looks great! For the price, it’s a solid, reliable set.

Excellent pans
Color: Linen Gray
Ceramic coating, aluminum body with steel plate on the bottom for induction cooking. Used these on an induction hot plate and they worked better than the stainless steel pans I had tried before. They have a nice heft, without being heavy. Made in Luxembourg according to the tag on the bottom. Very good looking pans.
