We made this hand-drawn map of Whanganui at the request of the District Council, and it was an amazing experience. We had to explore the region and mark all the highlights and sites of interest for tourists. We also needed to mark the city highlights, so we decided to make it in two parts: the city and the big map of the area. The Whanganui River is spectacular. The Opera House, the old houses, the paddle steamer, Durie Hill, the Memorial Tower, the bridges... We used to live in Ohakune, and we used to visit Whanganui very often to walk by the river. And we always remember the Big Pencil art piece beside the river. We love it! Hope you like it! :-)
