ABOUT MARTINGALE COLLARS:
Martingale collars, also known as no-slip collars, are typically used in training in response to dogs who pull on a lead. Martingales also provide more control to prevent dogs from backing or slipping out.
Use a soft measuring tape to measure your dog's neck snuggly. Also measure your dog's head at the broadest part (usually by the ears). Our Martingale collars are meant to fit a finger or two between the dog's neck and the collar. The collar is designed to fit your dogs neck and does not take into account the 3" length of the chain. The chain provides an extra 3" of length to reduce potential pinching or choking.
IMPORTANT NOTES (Please Read):
- Be sure to consult a certified dog trainer to determine if a martingale collar is right for your dog.
- Martingale collars should NOT be worn all the time and can become a choking hazard if left unattended.
- The chain is powder coated and will oxidize as it ages. Since the chain sits directly on the fur, please keep in mind that it may discolour the fur of light coloured dogs. Regular cleaning of the hardware with mild soap and water can help to prevent this.
*Please note that colours may vary in reality due to different screen settings.
**For safety purposes, dogs should always be supervised while wearing collars and all fittings should be inspected regularly.
