Lelit Anna PL41TEM, Compact Prosumer Espresso Machine with PID

The Lelit Anna PL41TEM is the entry point into prosumer espresso, done properly. PID temperature control, a 58mm commercial portafilter, and a compact footprint small enough to fit where most kitchens actually have space. It's the machine for the move from a pod system or a supermarket espresso maker into the grown-up end of home coffee, without paying for features you won't use yet.

Simple, well-built, and quick to heat up. Does the job the same way every time.

PID temperature control and display

The T in PL41TEM is for PID temperature control, the feature that sets this Anna apart from both the base PL41EM and the LED-interface PL41LEM. Where the LEM uses simple red and green ready indicators, the TEM has a proper display that lets you set and monitor brew temperature directly. A PID keeps that temperature locked where you set it, shot after shot, instead of drifting with ambient conditions or cycle timing. Adjustable in small increments, so lighter roasts can run hotter and darker ones eased down.

For anyone dialling in coffee at home, this is the single feature that makes shots consistent.

58mm commercial portafilter

The Anna uses the same 58mm commercial-standard portafilter as the Victoria, Elizabeth, and every proper prosumer machine in the Lelit range. That means any tamper, distributor, or precision basket you buy now carries forward if you upgrade later. No wasted accessories.

Compact footprint

At 23cm wide, the Anna is one of the smallest single-boiler prosumer espresso machines on the market. Fits under most kitchen cabinets, doesn't crowd the counter, and leaves room for a grinder next to it. For small kitchens or shared flats, this is often the difference between buying a prosumer machine and giving up.

Ready in a few minutes

Fast heat-up compared to heavier prosumer machines. Flip it on while you grind, and it's ready by the time you've weighed in the beans and dialled in. No half-hour warm-up rituals.

Espresso, cappuccino, and everything in between

Single boiler with a thermosiphon brew circuit and a steam wand for milk. It won't pull shots and steam at the same time, for that, the Elizabeth's dual boiler is the next step up, but for one or two drinks at a time, the Anna handles both comfortably.

The honest entry point to prosumer espresso

If the Victoria or Elizabeth are more machine than you need or more money than you want to spend right now, the Anna PL41TEM is where Lelit's range starts. Same 58mm group standard, same build philosophy, just in the simplest, smallest, most affordable package with proper programmable temperature control.

Choosing between the three Anna variants

The Anna comes in three versions, all sharing the same 58mm commercial portafilter, compact 23cm footprint, and build quality. The difference is in the controls and features:

PL41EM, the base model. No display, no PID, analogue operation. The most affordable way into the Anna range and the smallest proper 58mm prosumer espresso machine Lelit makes.

PL41LEM, the updated non-PID Anna. LED interface with red and green ready indicators, improved steam strength, brew pressure gauge, and a 3-way valve for easier cleaning. Meaningful everyday improvements over the EM without the cost of PID control.

PL41TEM, the Anna with PID temperature control and a proper display for setting and monitoring brew temperature. Locks temperature shot after shot, adjustable in small increments to suit different roasts. The version to buy if consistent temperature matters to you, which, for most people dialling in espresso, it does.

All three use the same 58mm portafilter standard, so accessories carry across. The decision comes down to how much control you want over the shot, and how much you're willing to pay for it.

stellar sunscreen for face- sensitive skin friendly, feels good not greasy on, timeless
Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: SPF 50
I used to try out different brands and this is the one I've got to have for my face- safe on sensitive skin and just feels really nice and not greasy putting on, sometimes I get stuck borrowing so now I get a few and have them in various places. Also, I appreciate they don't change the packaging or add other versions so I can grab and always feels great and works on

Gentle protection for sensitive kids’ skin ☀️
Style: NEUTROGENA SHEER ZINC, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I’ve been trying to be more careful about what I use on my kids’ skin, and this sunscreen has been such a good find. It blends better than most mineral sunscreens I’ve tried, doesn’t have a strong smell, and feels gentle on sensitive skin. I also love that it gives solid sun protection without feeling too heavy or greasy. Perfect for beach days, playground time, or just everyday use outdoors. 😊

2021 update: My family has been using this formulation for many years now. I chose it for the high (>20%) mineral content of zinc oxide, because that is the substance responsible for the sunscreen effect of this product. Unfortunately that is also the substance responsible for the white cast on the skin. Other brands typically have mineral content in amounts around 8-12% of the product. So although you may not get as white of a cast with those brands, you are also not getting as much of the sunscreen ingredient either. Another way manufacturers combat the white cast problem is to grind the minerals into ultra-fine particles: nanoparticles. There are downsides to this however: loss of UVA blockage, potential lung damage from inhalation of both manufacturing workers and users, possible coral reef and aquatic life disturbance. So, I expect and accept a mild white cast when using this because it is related to its effectiveness and probable lack of nanotization. When I care about the white cast, I use a drop or two of foundation with it. Otherwise, I leave it alone because after rubbing gently in, it’s not very noticeable. No problems with stickiness or tackiness a minute or so after applying and I’ve never had it sting my or my kids eyes probably because it stays put unlike many liquid formulas. I can also attest to its effectiveness as a sunscreen. We use it in the summertime by the beach and at the lake. In the winter and spring time we use it at 10,000 feet elevation while skiing. If we are going to be outdoors in the sun for any significant period of time, we use it then too. Does the job every time. We are diligent about reapplying after swimming or sweating. The pics I posted for comparison of stick sizes. Now go have fun in the sun...after putting on your sunscreen. ----------------------------------------------- Original post: My kid's skin is sensitive to chemical sunscreens so I get only ones made with mineral sunscreens. Sticks are much easier to apply on the face; less mess and hassle. The price of this large stick was off putting at first, but I got it because of the value in price per product; see pics. Very happily, I find it easier to apply than the smaller sticks. Takes less time to swipe on the face and anyone who has ever tried applying sun screen on the face of a child knows, less time to apply is a huge bonus!!! Same effectiveness in preventing sun burns as the smaller versions. I'm buying another one now.
