To celebrate the North Umpqua becoming Oregon's first river managed exclusively for wild summer and winter steelhead, we created this MiiR water bottle with artwork by our friends at Always with Honor.

The bottle celebrates steelhead's return to the wild featuring scenes of winter and summer steelhead on the North Umpqua River. In the winter scene, the famous Elevation Rock stands where a dam was slated to be built. The summer scene features Mott Bridge at the upstream end of the famous "Camp Water" section of the North Umpqua. A summer steelhead swims in the deep crystal pool, Big Bend, of Steamboat Creek where hundreds of steelhead gather. Together, these scenes honor the natural lifecycle of winter and summer steelhead, now possible due to major efforts by local advocates.

This return to the wild was a visionary, science-based action committed to a future with abundant wild fish. Read more about Native Fish Society's efforts in this success here.
