Lançado em 1994, Fetishism marca o quarto álbum consecutivo do Sabbat em quatro anos, mantendo em grande parte o estilo do black metal de primeira onda com influências thrash presente nos seus dois antecessores imediatos, Evoke e Disembody. Esse direcionamento não surpreende, dada a formação constante da banda, com Gezol (baixo e vocais principais), Temis Osmond (guitarras, teclados e vocais de apoio) e Zorugelion (bateria e vocais de apoio). Como nos três álbuns anteriores, o membro fundador e guitarrista original Elizaveat permaneceu envolvido, contribuindo com sua arte original para a capa.
