A DOVO Shavette is a razor with interchangeable blades. This design comes with a solid plastic handle and a silver aluminum back. The razor comes complete with a long Dovo shavette blade, a standard double edge blade and replacement black blade holders.

The Dovo of Solingen Shavette is a covenient and affordable alternative to a traditional cut throat razor.

The shavette uses disposable double edge (DE) razor blades (or longer Dovo shavette blades) which are simply replaced as required. This means there is no need to buy or use a hone, strop or the accessories associated with maintaining a conventional straight razor.

Experienced open razor users will appreciate the convenience this type of razor affords both in normal use and as a travel razor whilst the shavette is also perfect as the perfect introductory razor for newcomers to straight razor shaving as initial costs are considerably reduced and offers an affordable way to get used to the technique required for a comfortable straight razor shave.


The DOVO Shavette Straight Razors measure 5.25" closed. This model has a black Zytel handle and polished stainless steel blade holder with a red insert for safe and easy blade exchanges.

I love this brand & expected more, especially for the price. the gloves are super bulky and uncomfortable. they’re hard to get on and off and have a strange feeling when on because of the gel lining. they also smell odd. i wore them so about a week with several different creams/balms/lotions etc. i woke up with them off multiple times which makes me know that i was uncomfortable in them during my sleep. they also caused a weird breakout on my hands up to my wrists that took over a week to go away with the help of cortisone. it was like hives but more rash like. i didn’t bother attempting to return them and decided to throw them out. waste of money, time & ended up with a rash at the end. they did make my hands softer and helped with my cracked skin but at what cost?

Or do you recall the sticky, gummy hands that you could toss and they would pick up a piece of paper or something? The lining of these gloves make me think of those toys. So my experience is that they are very difficult to get on and once they're on they really bugged me after awhile I need to get them off, but they're very difficult to get off without turning the gloves inside out. ...then you have to try get them turned back to right side out... in the end I tried them and then thought I would try them one more time but they were such a pain in the rear that I ended up tossing them in the trash because I waited too long to be able to return them. One of my saddest purchases from Amazon!
