Painted with shimmery pearlescents & sparkly mica pigments on a high gloss creamy base.
Archival, unvarnished, signed & date
The reason I chose not to varnish these paintings is the contrast between the glossy base coat and satin matte of the colors sets them off nicely. The close up shots show the different gloss levels.
You can really see how the colors slide over the base coat giving them the look of encaustic paintings which I love.
