‘Tainted’ is het nieuwe album van Ilse DeLange. Op het nieuwe album ‘Tainted’ zijn breuken in allerlei vormen het grote thema. Bij iedere relationele breuk, of het nu binnen een familie is, in een werkrelatie of met een geliefde, komen er emoties los: twijfel, onzekerheid, zelfreflectie. De titel zegt het al: je blik op de wereld en op mensen wordt anders, raakt gekleurd. Iedere persoon kijkt vanuit een ander perspectief, heeft een eigen waarheid en een eigen verwerkingsproces.

De songs op ‘Tainted’, inclusief de singles ‘Willling’, ‘Drown Us Out’, ‘Confetti Shotgun’, en de gelijknamige nieuwe single zijn geschreven in Berlijn, in Nashville en bij Ilse thuis. Niels Zuiderhoek produceerde het album in coproductie met Ilse en Matthijs van Duijvenbode.
