Wat mij aantrekt in dit portret is de Hollandse nuchterheid, harde lijnen en harde blik. Maar wel verzorgd en opgedirkt. Mooi gecentreerd ook. Voor mij de Nederlandse Marilyn Monroe, een ode aan de hardwerkende vrouw

Voor mij de Nederlandse Marilyn Monroe, een ode aan de hardwerkende vrouw/ moeder / partner. Een vrouw waarmee je de wereld kan veroveren.
Deze vrouw, opgediept uit het archief, is onbekend en verloren in de geschiedenis maar nu staat ze centraal voor de sterke Nederlandse vrouw. En mag ze net zo geportretteerd worden zoals Andy Warhol deed met de wereldberoemde Monroe. Beide net zo belangrijk voor deze wereld.
