Om de verf krasvast en waterafstotend te maken is een goede afwerking belangrijk. Dit kan met een wax of lak. De wax wordt met een kwast aangebracht en moet dan minimaal 3 weken uitharden. De wax is verkrijgbaar in verschillende kleuren.

Afwerken kan ook met een matte lak, dit is geschikt voor bijv. tafelbladen, vloeren en trappen. De lak is niet geschikt voor de badkamervloer, hier kunt u beter een wax voor gebruiken.
