Een belangrijk voordeel van Remmers PU Garagevloercoating is de sterke en slijtvaste beschermlaag die ontstaat na uitharding. Garages en werkruimtes worden vaak intensief belast door voertuigen, gereedschap en opslag. Deze coating is hier goed tegen bestand en beschermt de vloer tegen mechanische slijtage en dagelijkse vervuiling.
Daarnaast biedt Remmers PU Garagevloercoating een hoge bestendigheid tegen stoffen die veel voorkomen in garages, zoals olie, brandstof en reinigingsmiddelen. Bij kortstondige blootstelling blijven deze stoffen op het oppervlak liggen zonder direct in de vloer te trekken. Dit maakt de vloer eenvoudiger te reinigen en onderhoudsvriendelijker in gebruik.
Ook de uitstraling is een belangrijk voordeel. De zijdematte afwerking zorgt voor een rustige en verzorgde uitstraling die past bij zowel functionele als nette ruimtes. Door de antislip eigenschappen wordt bovendien extra grip gecreëerd, wat de veiligheid in de ruimte ten goede komt, vooral bij natte omstandigheden.
Remmers PU Garagevloercoating op kleur gemengd
Remmers PU Garagevloercoating is leverbaar in meerdere vaste kleuren, waaronder antraciet (ca. RAL 7016), lichtgrijs (ca. RAL 7035) en zilvergrijs (ca. RAL 7001). Deze kleuren zijn zorgvuldig afgestemd op vloerapplicaties en zorgen voor een gelijkmatige en professionele uitstraling. Kleurmenging is niet van toepassing. De uiteindelijke kleur kan afhankelijk van de ondergrond en laagdikte licht afwijken van de natte kleur in de verpakking.
Hoe verf ik met Remmers PU Garagevloercoating?
Voor een goed resultaat moet de ondergrond schoon, droog, draagkrachtig en vrij van stof, olie en vet zijn. Beton- en cementvloeren moeten volledig zijn uitgehard, wat doorgaans ongeveer vier weken duurt. Als primer wordt eerst Remmers 2K Epoxy Grondverf aangebracht. Deze primer moet volledig zijn doorgedroogd en goed hechten aan de ondergrond. De wachttijd tussen primer en PU Garagevloercoating bedraagt minimaal 16 uur en maximaal 48 uur. Bij overschrijding van deze tijd moet de primer licht worden geschuurd.
Remmers PU Garagevloercoating wordt voor gebruik goed geroerd en vervolgens gelijkmatig aangebracht met een epoxyroller. Het materiaal wordt kruislings verdeeld en daarna nagerold om een egaal resultaat te verkrijgen. Plasvorming moet worden voorkomen. Langs randen en in hoeken wordt gewerkt met een geschikte kwast of kleine roller. Afhankelijk van de ondergrond en belasting worden twee tot drie lagen onverdund aangebracht. Tijdens het aanbrengen en drogen moet de vloer worden beschermd tegen vocht. Voor een strak resultaat en goede verwerking biedt Verfsale geschikte rollers en kwasten.
Hoeveel Remmers PU Garagevloercoating heb ik nodig?
Het verbruik van Remmers PU Garagevloercoating bedraagt gemiddeld circa 160 ml per m² per laag, afhankelijk van de zuiging en conditie van de ondergrond. Voor een complete vloerafwerking worden doorgaans twee tot drie lagen aangebracht. Bij twee lagen komt het totale verbruik uit op ongeveer 320 ml per m².
Met een verpakking van 2,5 liter kan bij twee lagen gemiddeld circa 7 tot 8 m² worden afgewerkt. Het daadwerkelijke verbruik kan variëren door ondergrondstructuur en applicatiemethode. Daarom is het aan te raden om vooraf een proefvlak aan te brengen om het verbruik nauwkeurig te bepalen.

Wat is de droogtijd van Remmers PU Garagevloercoating?
Bij een temperatuur van circa 20 °C en een relatieve luchtvochtigheid van 65 procent is Remmers PU Garagevloercoating na ongeveer 2 uur stofdroog. De coating is na circa 12 uur overschilderbaar en na ongeveer 24 uur beloopbaar. Volledige mechanische belastbaarheid wordt bereikt na circa 7 dagen. Lagere temperaturen en een hogere luchtvochtigheid kunnen de droogtijden verlengen. De genoemde tijden zijn indicatief en kunnen in de praktijk afwijken.

A fairytale classic made even better!

Embellishing on the original tale of Cinderella, Gail Levine has written an imaginative and touching story - a classic in its own right. While the traditional fairytale focuses on the magical rags-to-riches transformation of a scullery maid into a princess, Levine's heroine is very real in both her defeats and her triumphs. Ella is a wonderful character whose unwavering sense of humor and refusal to succumb make her an endearing heroine whom the reader eagerly follows through her journeys. The friendship that she shares with Prince Char, her struggles to break the curse placed on her at birth, the pain and the joy that she feels at each turn of events are drawn with a clarity and poignant charm that make this a unique story all its own. There is, of course, glass slippers, a ball, the pumpkin coach - but this story goes far beyond the original to become something more. It is not just about one magical night that makes a servant into a princess; it is about the life of a girl who is more than what she seems and has only to realize it for herself to make her wishes come true.
Ella Enchanted is a wonderful story for readers of all ages, and there is an amazing depth to this tale that cannot help but make you think. Despite the omnipresent existence of magic and the whimsical creatures that include everything from gnomes and elves to giants and ogres, the focus of the story is very real. We are, each of us, a little bit like Ella - struggling to be who we are while everything around us tries to make us otherwise. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who loves fairytales and children's books - especially to anyone who loves the story of Cinderella.

Timeless

My first born daughter is literally named Ella after Ella Enchanted. This is the most meaningful children’s book I ever experienced in childhood and it continues to hold up as I have reread it to my Ella in parenthood. It’s still so fun and magical and heartfelt. Thank you Gail Carson Levine for this literary gem!

Beloved childhood classic for a reason

Not to give away my age, but I owned this book when I was younger and lent it to a friend and never got it back. I finally gave into my desire to own it again and purchased it from amazon. I'm so happy that I did. This book definitely holds up even after all these years. It's this kind of writing that helped me fall in love with the idea of being a writer. I've read some of Gail Carson Levine's other books and enjoyed them to varying degrees. I remember reading The Wish and thinking, even as a child, that it was incredibly bland. But Ella Enchanted is truly one of her gems.
It is heartfelt and well-written with a truly wonderful heroine. Now that I'm older I do see more of the problems. The writing is a lot simpler than I remember but I suppose that it needs to be for the reading level of the target audience so I won't count that as a negative. As with most young adult novels, it is on the shorter side. This leads to some awkward pacing and a lack of development. There's not really enough of her friend Areida or her adventures. The romance with Char is underdeveloped though conveyed skillfully enough that by the end I was very invested in the outcome. The ending and epilogue after the dramatic conclusion also come across as a little rushed. Still, I think it's a wonderful story for young girls and a truly inspiring heroine for them to identify with. For older readers, it's a pleasant diversion. The strength of the story is Ella and the way Levine writes the scenes that are meant to have a big emotional impact. I understand when people say the story meanders a bit and how it could be boring for some people. Levine doesn't do a great job with descriptions despite the complexity of the world she's imagined. It's difficult to really picture anything in your head based on the descriptions she gives. She's not a world-builder like the big name fantasy writers. She's more interested in the characters and the main plot arc for the heroine.
I would recommend this book for a reader or parent looking for a strong, believable female protagonist. It's not a great fantasy novel and it's a little underdeveloped but the individual scenes are well written and the emotion, lesson, and strong character arc are there. I'd also recommend getting the new version as there are great extras including information about the languages Levine developed for the various creatures in the world of Ella Enchanted. I don't remember these being included in the first edition.
