Buxusmot bestrijden met aaltjes
Aaltjes werken alleen tegen de buxusrupsen, dus niet tegen de eitjes, poppen en motten. De beste tijd om de buxusrups te bestrijden is in het begin van de lente, voordat een volgende generatie kan ontstaan. De aaltjes, opgelost in water, moeten meteen op de buxusrups worden gespoten. Let er op dat de rupsen zo goed mogelijk worden geraakt. Omdat de aaltjes geen zonlicht kunnen verdragen, kan dit het beste 's avonds worden gedaan.

Voor welk soort aaltje moet ik kiezen?
Als de minimumtemperatuur onder de 12°C komt, raden we aan om Steinernema feltiae te gebruiken. Anders kan het beste Steinernema carpocapsae (de aaltjes die je nu bekijkt) worden gebruikt.
