Kwaliteitswijnen van Santa Rita

Santa Rita is een van de belangrijkste wijndomeinen van Chili. Het wijnhuis is gevestigd in een historisch pand en is opgericht in 1880 in de Maipo vallei in Chili. Ze hebben veel verschillende reeksen wijnen in hun assortiment. De productie varieert van Medalla Real op het middenniveau tot hun topreeksen, waaronder de uitstekende Floresta-lijn en verleidelijke Casa Real Cabernet, onder de deskundige hand van de Chileense topwijnmaker Sebastián Labbé en zijn team met druiven uit heel Chili. De Medella Real serie is in 1983 opzet ter ere van de voorouder van de familie van Vina Santa Rita. Jaar in jaar uit wint dit wijnhuizen talloze prijzen voor haar kwaliteitswijnen. De druiven worden bij optimale rijpheid selectief geoogst. In de wijnmakerij volgt er nog een selectie, waarbij alleen de beste druiven goed genoeg zijn voor de persing. De kwaliteit staat voorop, dus de selectie is dan ook streng. Er volgt een fermentatie bij een gecontroleerde temperatuur tussen de 25 en 28 graden. Alles staat in het teken van het behouden van het fruit en de concentratie. Zestig procent van de wijn rijpt acht maanden in Franse eikenhouten vaten en de overige 40 procent in roestvrijstalen vaten.

Hoe smaakt de Santa Rita Medalla Real Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon?

De druiven zijn afkomstig van de Alto Jahuel wijngaarden. Dankzij het gunstige klimaat ontwikkelen de Cabernet Sauvignon druiven zich hier uitstekend. Het resulteert in een expressieve robijnrode wijn. Met aroma’s van zwart fruit met hints van vanille, tabak en kruidnagel. In de smaak een goede gebalanceerd wijn met een medium body. Past perfect bij vlees gerechten of een kaasplankje.

Difficult to rub in; sweat and water resistant; difficult to wash off

I've used this spray sunscreen off and on for the past two years and have now decided to only use it after a long and sweaty work out at the gym when I drive home. It is much easier to apply onto the skin on sweaty/wet/moist skin than on dry skin. It is difficult to apply and rub in on dry skin. One should carefully apply and use a finger to do so to minimize stretching the skin. The positive about this sunscreen is that it is sweat resistant and will not seep or run into your eyes. It is also water resistant; therefore, it is a good sunscreen to use if you are going swimming. However, this makes it difficult to wash off, even in the shower using a face wash or scrub. I would not recommend this sunscreen for daily use. If you are wearing sunscreen for the purposes of avoiding incidental sun exposure, such as driving to and from places, locally, for fewer than 20-30 minutes, or if you are going for brief walks outside, use a different sunscreen that is friendlier on the skin. I WOULD recommend this sunscreen to anyone that plans on spending prolonged periods of time out in the sun, including being exposed to direct sunlight. If you are planning a day out at the beach, or going out swimming, exercising outdoors for over 30 minutes, taking a long road trip, or planning to do any activity where you will be in direct sunlight, this is a good sunscreen to use. It will leave a white cast, however, I have confidence that it will provide the adequate protection against UVA-1, UVA-2 and UVB radiation to protect your skin.
