In Tokaido is elke speler een reiziger die de "Oostzeeweg" oversteekt, een van de mooiste wegen van Japan. Tijdens het reizen ontmoet je mensen, proef je heerlijke maaltijden, verzamel je mooie spullen, ontdek je geweldige panorama's en bezoek je tempels en wilde plekken, maar aan het eind van de dag, als iedereen aan het einde van de weg is aangekomen, moet je de meest ingewijde reiziger – wat betekent dat jij degene moet zijn die de meest interessante en gevarieerde dingen heeft ontdekt. De potentiële actieruimtes in Tokaido zijn op een lineair spoor aangelegd, waarbij spelers dit spoor aflopen om acties te ondernemen. De speler die momenteel als laatste op het spoor staat, neemt een beurt door vooruit te gaan op het spoor naar de gewenste actie en die actie uit te voeren. Spelers moeten dus kiezen of ze langzaam vooruitgaan om meer beurten te krijgen, of sneller reizen om andere spelers te verslaan. spelers naar hun gewenste actieruimtes. De actieruimtes maken een verscheidenheid aan acties mogelijk die op verschillende, maar ongeveer gelijke, manieren scoren. Op sommige actieruimtes kunnen spelers geld verzamelen, terwijl andere spelers een manier bieden om dat geld uit te geven om punten te verdienen. Op andere actieruimtes kunnen spelers deelnemen aan verschillende setcollecties die punten scoren voor het samenstellen van die sets. Sommige actieruimtes geven spelers eenvoudigweg punten als ze erop stoppen, of geven de speler een willekeurig bepaalde actie uit alle andere typen. Amazing Halo Graphic Novel

this book is kinda mediocre. the first story was amazing. great art, great story, and great dialogue. very cool perspective on what seems like the covenants first encounter with the flood. the dialogue-less one about sgt johnson surviving in a flood infested area was pretty good too. the armor testing story wasn’t bad but kinda felt like a waste of time. and the last one had such terrible art i couldn’t even read it. but i also enjoyed reading the “behind the scenes” author’s notes before and after each story.

So bad it’s hard to believe

I bought this to see the story about the half-jaw white elite, one of my favorite characters. In that regard it was fantastic. That story and its art are epic. The next two stories were HORRENDOUS. The middle two stories truly look like they were drawn by talented 8th graders. The dialogue is cringe for the second story and the third story is wordless. There are also resolution issues throughout. Pictures don’t really get across just how UGLY the middle two stories are. The fourth and last story looks like an actual professional artist did it, but I’m too traumatized to try to read it. The foreword is insufferable and irrelevant and the end of the book is filled with fan art that is not quite charming in a book I paid money for.

Worth the Money

Love this book and I’m happy I bought it new. It came in perfect condition. It’s so nicely put together with high quality images of the main game, even the three DLC games. I like reading the huge list of dialog that the characters have. I learned things about the game I never knew. Ex,the ice goddess and the fire god having a relationship. It even goes into detail about Comrades. The art from the competition Illustrations. It’s my favorite page. I hope other people learn a few things from it like I did. It’s great for a collector and such a pretty book. Worth it! Buy it. Would buy this again!
