Hoe wordt het product gemaakt?

Glen Scotia 15 Year Old rijpt in een zorgvuldig samengestelde mix van ex-bourbon vaten en Pedro Ximénez sherryvaten. De ex-bourbon vaten leveren vanille, honing en lichte fruittonen, terwijl de PX-sherryvaten rijke, zoete tonen van rozijnen en gedroogd fruit toevoegen. De whisky rijpt minimaal 15 jaar in warehouses aan de kust van Campbeltown, waar de zilte zeelucht door de vaten trekt en een subtiele maritieme invloed geeft. Dit kustklimaat is kenmerkend voor Campbeltown-whisky's en onderscheidt ze van andere Schotse regio's. Glen Scotia gebruikt licht geturfde mout, wat een subtiele rokerigheid toevoegt zonder de andere smaken te overheersen. Na de rijping selecteert master distiller Iain McAlister de beste vaten voor deze expressie. De whisky krijgt geen kleurstof toegevoegd en ondergaat een lichte filtratie om de natuurlijke oliën te behouden. Het water voor de productie komt van de Crosshill Loch, een natuurlijke bron nabij de distilleerderij.

Het verhaal van Glen Scotia

Glen Scotia Distillery opende in 1832 in Campbeltown, een stadje dat ooit de whisky-hoofdstad van de wereld werd genoemd met meer dan 30 distilleerderijen. Vandaag zijn er nog slechts drie actieve distilleerderijen in Campbeltown, waarvan Glen Scotia een van de belangrijkste is. De distilleerderij overleefde meerdere sluitingen en economische crises, maar bleef produceren dankzij de toewijding van opeenvolgende eigenaren. In 2014 nam de Loch Lomond Group Glen Scotia over en investeerde zwaar in modernisering en uitbreiding. Ondanks deze investeringen blijft Glen Scotia trouw aan traditionele productiemethoden, met koperen pot stills en houten washbacks. De distilleerderij ligt direct aan de kust, wat zorgt voor de kenmerkende maritieme invloed in de whisky's. Master distiller Iain McAlister leidt het team sinds 2015 en staat bekend om zijn expertise in vaatselectie en balans tussen sherry en bourbon invloeden. Glen Scotia produceert een breed scala aan single malts, van jonge, frisse expressies tot langgerijpte, complexe whisky's. Camouflages well with the skin and sticks long enough
I was excited to try these Halo Dot patches because I was having some breakouts before a wedding I had to attend. I put these on three nights before the wedding only at nights and left them on until the morning. I washed my face the 1st night, yet the second night I did not and it still attached (mind that I have a very oily face by the end of the day). With every application I saw good results as the breakouts were being reduced with each use. It is easy to put on and to carry out if you need to travel because it comes in two separate little envelope like package that you can put in a backpack/purse. These are thin and are almost not visible.

Easy to Use and Surprisingly Effective
Even though I am well past the age when I thought breakouts would stop happening, I still get the occasional pimple. As luck would have it, I felt one starting to pop up on my cheek the day after these Halo Dot Pimple Patches arrived. Before bed, after washing and thoroughly drying my face, I applied one of the patches. It peeled easily from the backing sheet, and when I realized I had not placed it quite right, I was pleasantly surprised that I could lift and reposition it without any trouble. What really impressed me was how well it blended into my skin. I was only wearing it overnight, but honestly, I do not think anyone would have noticed it unless they were looking very closely. In fact, I forgot I even had it on until I looked in the mirror the next morning. The patch peeled off easily and had clearly pulled some of the buildup from the blemish overnight. There was no redness or irritation afterward, and the spot looked dramatically improved by morning. The only downside for me is the price, especially since the package contains just 33 patches. That said, if they continue to work this well, I would definitely consider purchasing them again.

These acne patches came in really handy when I had a random breakout near my lip, especially since that’s an area where I tend to wear a lot of makeup.
