Giardia duodenalis, een veelvoorkomende dunne darmparasiet bij honden en katten, wordt gedetecteerd door de oppervlakte-antigenen van Giardia-cysten en trofozoïeten. Parvo virus, dat overeenkomt met het kattenparvovirus, en Corona virus, dat overeenkomt met het katten-coronavirus, kunnen allen met één test voor zowel honden als katten worden opgespoord.
