Het verhaal

Een van TOLHUIJS’ kenmerken is dat we producten maken van de meest uiteenlopende materialen. Oorspronkelijk was de poot van de LOCO MOTIV een hydraulische slang waar speciale koelvloeistof doorheen liep om de motor van trein locomotieven te kunnen koelen. Nadat deze slang zijn dienst heeft bewezen en ontelbaar veel mensen van punt a naar b heeft gebracht, beland hij uiteindelijk op de schroothoop. Dan zijn wij er natuurlijk om die slang toch nog een tweede leven te geven.

Wij halen dit voormalig treinonderdeel vies, stinkend en kleverig op. Deze roestvrije slang wordt dan gefixeerd en schoongemaakt. Daarna geven we hem een transparante coating om op deze manier de robuuste geweven structuur van de slang nog beter naar voren te laten komen.

De duurzame lamp zelf is een uniek met de mond geblazen led lamp die perfect bij deze poot past. Wij weten gewoon dat onze unieke LOCO MOTIV de eyecatcher van je woonkamer wordt.

Better than the Chronicles

I hope DC keeps on publishing these omnibus series up to the silver age and also the softcover option. I much prefer these new softcover editions over the older chronicles series for several reasons. These STGA softcovers are very big almost twice the stories compared to the chronicles and at a very affordable price. Actually a very good price. Also the paper is one hundred times better, I hated the chronicles' paper. Amazon is wonderful too, they now deliver my comics to my house in Costa Rica in less than a couple of weeks, they always arrive before the scheduled time. Excellent service. The only thing to complain is the reproduction. I consider that Marvel makes better efforts than DC to restore their GA stuff. The Cory Sedlemeier books like the Marvel Comics Golden Age omnibus look like they were drawn this morning. DC is usually quite cheaper and prefers not invest in that. So we get the same results as the old early 2000s Archives. I know today it is impossible to get original art pages of action comics 1-10 But I still think that compared to Marvel DC is very lazy and a skintflint when it comes to restoring their old books.
