Essenhout is een iets zachte houtsoort met een strakke, rechte nerf. De rechte nerftekening zorgt ervoor dat essenhout goed gebogen kan worden, dit maakt essenhout zeer geschikt voor de meubelbranche. Bewerkt essenhout is sterk en slijtvast, maar onbehandeld essenhout kan veel werking vertonen en snel vergelen. Geschuurd essenhout zorgt voor een nette, gladde uitstraling. Geborsteld essen heeft meer karakter en bandgezaagd essenhout heeft een zeer robuuste en ruwe look. Afmetingen Het Silas bureau heeft een hoogte van 75 cm, een breedte van 140 cm en een diepte van 44 cm. Het onderstel is van zwart metaal en heeft een hoogte van 63 cm. Beide lades hebben een diepte van 38 cm. De grote lade heeft een breedte van 86 cm en de kleinere lade heeft een breedte van 42. Dit meubel heeft een gewicht van 20 kg. Onderhoud Behandeld essenhout is eenvoudig schoon te maken met een lichtvochtige, schone doek. Vlekken op onbehandeld essenhout zijn op te lossen met een absorberende, schone doek. Bij hardnekkige vlekken kan essenhout eenvoudig opnieuw behandeld worden. Schuur het hout op tot korrel 180, daarna kan het essenhout goed beschermd worden met een olie, was, lak of beits naar keuze. Onbehandeld essenhout is niet geschikt voor plaatsing buitenshuis. Levering Het artikel wordt in een pakket geleverd en is eenvoudig te monteren aan de hand van de bijgeleverde montagehandleiding. Plaats viltglijders aan de onderzijde om beschadigingen aan harde vloeren te voorkomen.
