Gehamerde klankschalen

Elke klankschaal wordt met aandacht en precisie met de hand gehamerd. In een zorgvuldig proces worden verschillende metalen, waaronder koper en tin, gesmolten en verwerkt tot bronzen schijven. Deze schijven worden tot roodgloeiend verhit en stap voor stap in de juiste vorm gebracht. Door het hamerwerk ontstaan subtiele nuances in vorm en klank. Het metaal blijft flexibel zolang het heet genoeg is, zodat het de juiste verbinding krijgt zonder scheuren. Zo ontstaan unieke klankschalen, die uitnodigen tot verstilling en aandacht.

Na de grove vorm begint het fijne werk: opnieuw verwarmen, nauwkeurig hamerwerk en daarna polijsten en bewerken met de hand. Elke schaal krijgt zo haar eigen klank en uitstraling.
