OverviewThe Barred Spinefoot, also known as the Scribbled Rabbitfish or Siganus doliatus, is a strikingly patterned marine fish admired for its intricate coloration and hardy nature. With its light blue body and distinctive orange and yellow "scribbled" markings, this rabbitfish is a visually appealing choice for larger reef and marine tanks. As a member of the rabbitfish family, it is an efficient algae grazer, helping to keep tanks cleaner, making it a favorite among marine aquarists.
Origin
Native to the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific region, particularly around areas such as the Great Barrier Reef, Malaysia, and Indonesia, the Barred Spinefoot is accustomed to warm, tropical, reef environments. They typically inhabit shallow coastal reefs where they feed on algae.
Feeding
In the wild, the Barred Spinefoot feeds primarily on algae and plant material, making it a fantastic herbivore for aquarium setups. In captivity, they do well on a diet rich in marine algae, seaweed (such as nori), spirulina, and vegetable-based pellets. While they are mainly herbivores, offering occasional meaty treats, like mysis shrimp, can add protein variety to their diet.
Tank Mates
Barred Spinefoots are generally peaceful, making them suitable for community marine and reef tanks. They get along well with other peaceful or semi-aggressive fish such as tangs, angelfish, and clownfish. Avoid housing them with small, delicate species that might not tolerate minor aggression. Given their algae-eating tendencies, they’re excellent for tanks with other herbivores, but it’s essential to monitor for competition over food sources.
Aggression
The Barred Spinefoot is generally a peaceful species but can show minor aggression, especially towards conspecifics or similar-looking fish. These fish can also become defensive when stressed or provoked. While they rarely pose a threat to tank mates, their dorsal spines are venomous and can cause painful stings, so caution is needed when handling or moving them.
Experience Level
These fish are best suited for intermediate to advanced marine aquarists. Though they are hardy, they require stable water parameters, adequate space, and a consistent supply of algae or plant-based food. Their spiny, venomous fins also require careful handling, making them better suited for experienced hobbyists.

Beautiful
Format: Kindle
I love omegaverses I had looked at this one multiple times thinking it's just another book about cocky rock star guys that let fame get to their heads and there are parts like that so I wasn't 100% off. I started reading the second book and met the fmc Astraea from the first one, after she had a run in with the aphla from the gym.😁 it gave me the push to stop and read book one first and im so glad I did this book was amazing their was so many characters I fell in love with hoping they will find their happily ever after. the guys were great, the plot was 🎯, and the ending had me 😭😭😭. I was wondering how nate could ever redeem himself, and he did. the last scene with him was sad, but I also felt it was beautiful. thank you to the author for making a beautiful omegaverse book that gave me all the feels. now I'm jumping straight into book two.

Knot their Omega
Format: Kindle
It took me a day to really get into the book, there is a lot happening in the beginning of the story. I wish there was more of a time frame because I felt like something’s happened quickly but they were farther away than I thought so that was a little confusing to me. I felt like there was so much happening but also not enough.
As for the story itself I enjoyed it, it was different than other OV I’ve read. Bring the tissues, you will need them. They guys were great, I wish we saw more of Kai and Kenjis relationship. As for Nate…… IYKYK.
I enjoyed this book, my first from this author and look forward to reading about Kamaris story.

Has Potential, Poorly Executed
Format: Kindle
I really really wanted to enjoy this book and was looking forward to reading it. However there were just one too many convoluted plot points, sentences just did not flow nicely at times, and I was left with a lot of confusion on my end. I think it has the bones of being a great story but seems like it was rushed and I had to push myself to finish the last of the book and was left with an unsatisfying ending. It’s definitely different from other omegaverse novels I’ve read but not for good reasons. I really think it could be great but needs some serious tweaking and editing before I’d read it again.

A good read
Format: Kindle
A good read, just fluffy cuteness, no antagonism. I like all the characters. It could have used another round of editing however, glanfds being one error that cracked me up, and my personal pet peeve was that the author kept using the word fill instead of feel, which I promise you are not interchangeable haha, but it's definitely better than the majority of books I read on here mistake-wise.
