Celebrate Matcha Day at the studio with a hands-on pottery wheel class. In this session, you'll throw your very own matcha bowl on the pottery wheel, then enjoy a freshly prepared cup of matcha while you work.

What You'll Learn You'll be guided through, centering on the wheel, opening the base, and pulling up walls to create a cup shape. We'll cover how to refine your form and release your piece cleanly from the wheel. No experience is needed and every step will be demonstrated before you try it yourself.


What's Included All clay, tools, and studio materials are provided. Once your piece has been fired, you're invited to our monthly group glazing session to finish and personalize your vase. You'll be notified when your glazed piece is ready for pickup, or you can arrange shipping during class.

Who This Is For This class is open to all skill levels. No prior pottery experience is needed. Perfect for matcha lovers, curious beginners, and anyone looking to make something beautiful by hand.

What to Wear

Wear clothing and shoes you're comfortable getting clay and water on. Aprons are provided, but clay has a way of finding everything anyway.

Completing any pottery class makes you eligible to join The MixMatch as a studio member, giving you access to our wheels, tools, and kiln time on your own schedule. It's the natural next step for anyone who wants to keep building their skills between classes. Ask your instructor or the front desk for details on how to get started.

The concept - amazing. The materials used? - not so much. Our senior Chorgi is not even a super chewer,yet he managed to get a tiny piece chewed off of the ball in under 10 minutes. Also, the handle is not flexible enough. It's like a hard, tough, sharp and thick nylon material. You can see how they were trying to make it more durable,but there jas got to be an alternative material. This nylon is sharp on their gums and roof if mouth. For now I am watching our dog carefully with it, because he loves how it bounces funny so its more fun to chase. Fur babies are pur children. You would not leave a 2 ur old alone to play with a toy, would you? I'm just not sure i'd buy another. I bought 3 at once. Returning 2 .
