It is commonly known that Ford 6.0L Powerstroke engines have extra solid particles left over from casting the engine which can clog your trucks factory oil cooler, EGR cooler, and other critical engine components. Mishimoto has released a direct-fit coolant filtration kit for the 2003--2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke to help prevent your truck from being a victim of factory cooler clogs and failure. The application-specific mounting bracket mounts a precision CNC-machined 6061 aluminum filter mount and Wix coolant filter to the passenger side radiator support area, an ideal location for easily removing the filter. This Coolant Filtration Kit is routed in parallel with the flow path of your coolant system and allows a small amount of coolant to be filtered with each pass. The Mishimoto engineers also included two brass ball valves with this kit to help make changing the filters a clean process. The two silicone hoses have been designed as once piece hoses to reduce any possibility of leaks and are offered in black, blue and red, to compliment any engine bay. Excellent, well built filter at a low price

An excellent build quality filter, especially for the money. Definitely top three along with Mobil-One and WIX filters. However, the regular WIX/NAPA Gold has much better filtration efficiency at smaller microns. The WiX XP has much better dirt capacity than either, but actually has lower filtration efficiency than regular WIX. Both are better in their own ways than the Purolator Boss at a few dollars more, but this is still MILES better than Fram or Bosch or STP (or god forbid, SuperTech), etc. and usually the best at a low price on Amazon.
If you run long change intervals like 7,500-10,000mi, spring the couple extra dollars for the WIX XP for the dirt capacity.
If you want the absolute best filtration efficiency (me) for a 3,000-5,000mi interval, get the regular WIX/NAPA Gold.
I don't recommend change intervals longer than 10,000mi, though I still use Mobil One Extended (best value, 20,000mi rated) or Amsoil Signature Series (25,000mi rated but expensive) for the extra protection.

Good OEM replacement, but check the contents

This filter was perfect for my 2020 ram 1500, however I had to get a replacement because the gasket was not included in the box as delivered. I contacted the seller and they replaced it within two days. The replacement unit had both the filter, and the gasket in the box it should've been.
