Handcrafted in our New York studio, the artwork is applied in the French tradition of découpage- laid in reverse beneath crystal-clear glass, sealed with fine varnishes, then polished until every vein of the wing seems to glow. The dome is weighty French crystal: cool in the hand, satisfyingly substantial, and magnetic to the eye.

Finished with a rich felt backing to protect delicate surfaces, each paperweight arrives with a folded card sharing the centuries-old craft behind it.
