Metabolic Nutrition Thyrene comes in capsules and focuses on one big thing: helping your thyroid-related metabolism, better nutrient use, and energy production in cells, all without a big pile of stimulants you can see listed. This isn't your typical fat burner loaded with caffeine and wild herbs. It's geared toward thyroid support using basic nutrients plus a mix of stuff linked to making thyroid hormones, burning fats, and managing blood sugar.

The best part that's fully out in the open is the nutrient foundation. You get 150 mcg of iodine from kelp, which is spot on for daily needs to help make thyroid hormones. Iodine is key for creating T4 and T3, the hormones that control your resting calorie burn, protein use, and cell energy. Too much iodine can actually slow things down, so 150 mcg is smart—it's a solid, body-friendly amount, not overkill.

Folate is in at 400 mcg, hitting a sweet spot for daily use. Folate helps with one-carbon metabolism (that's moving single carbon units for building stuff), DNA creation, and turning homocysteine back to useful forms, teaming up with vitamin B6 and B12, which are both here too. This B-vitamin group backs up methylation (a process for gene regulation and detox), red blood cells, and energy at the cell level. Niacin at 20 mg and vitamin B6 at 4.25 mg are helpful backup doses, while vitamin B12 at 100 mcg is way above basic needs, making this great for folks dieting hard or not eating balanced.

Chromium comes in at 175 mcg as chromium polynicotinate, a solid choice for better absorption. Chromium boosts how insulin works at receptors, helping with blood sugar control and steady energy when you're cutting fat.

Chromium is present at 175 mcg as chromium polynicotinate, a well-regarded form designed to improve chromium uptake. Chromium amplifies insulin receptor signaling through chromodulin-related mechani

Key Highlights

  • 150 mcg iodine from kelp — a smart dose that matches what your body needs daily for thyroid support. Iodine helps make T4 and T3 hormones that set your calorie-burning pace, so this is a top ingredient we can see clearly.
  • 400 mcg folate — spot on for daily metabolism needs. Folate teams with vitamin B6 and B12 to handle homocysteine, build DNA, and keep energy processes running smooth in your cells.
  • 175 mcg chromium as chromium polynicotinate — a great form for metabolism boosts. It helps insulin work better, leading to steadier blood sugar and energy when you're dropping fat.
  • 100 mcg vitamin B12 — way more than you need daily, super useful in a diet where food choices shrink. B12 is big for energy production and healthy red blood cells, especially when you're training and eating less.
  • 20 mg niacin plus 4.25 mg vitamin B6 — solid B-vitamin support that rounds out the metabolism focus. These help with making energy and work with folate and B12 in key body processes.
  • L-tyrosine in the mix — makes sense for metabolism since it's key for brain chemicals and thyroid hormone building. It's like the foundation for both energy and hormone production.
  • L-carnitine included — one of the best ingredients out there for fat use. It shuttles fats into cell powerhouses to burn for energy, which is why it's a staple in lean-out stacks.
  • Coleus forskohlii added — a go-to for body comp by supporting cAMP signals. In these formulas, it helps back up thyroid and fat-burning paths without taking over.

Who Is This For?

  • Cutters wanting more than caffeine sweat. Thyrene offers thyroid support from iodine and L-tyrosine, plus chromium and L-carnitine for energy and metabolism.
  • Busy folks losing fat while keeping up workouts. Capsules are simple for daily use, with B vitamins, chromium, iodine, and carnitine fitting a quick routine.
  • Stuck dieters with clean eats but sluggish metabolism. Iodine, tyrosine, guggulsterones, coleus, and Poly-Thyronine target thyroid side over just hunger control.
  • People with a separate pre-workout avoiding stim overload. No shown caffeine, metabolic focus makes it stack-friendly without going overboard.
  • Folks chasing steady sugar and energy while leaning. Chromium polynicotinate and ALA help insulin and carbs, great for crash-prone dieters.
  • Everyday fitness fans after daily metabolism backup, not gym hype. Capsules for consistent body-comp goals, not just pre-training.

How to Use

Follow the label exactly, since we don't have full serving details and some doses aren't shown. Best early in the day, as metabolism stuff can mess with sleep if it's stimulating. Start low for a few days to check tolerance, especially if niacin, stims, or thyroid ingredients hit you hard. With food can ease stomach issues and cut niacin warmth. Morning trainers can take pre-session, but it's not a true pre-workout. Skip stacking with other thyroid or fat-loss supps until you know your reaction. Pair with controlled calories, good protein, and regular activity—that's where it helps most. No auto-cycle needed from what's shown, but breaks from possible stims are smart when caffeine's unclear. Keep it cool, dry, and sealed.

What to Expect

First 10-20 minutes, don't expect a big buzz unless you're sensitive to niacin or hidden stims—it's more about checking how it sits. Over a few days, you might notice steadier energy and less hunger swings if the chromium, ALA, and B vitamins match your diet. By week one to two, see if your diet feels easier and energy holds up. Weeks two to four are key—thyroid and metabolism support build over time. If it clicks, you'll get smoother dieting and better stick-to-it, not a one-hit rush.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of fat burner is Metabolic Nutrition Thyrene?

Thyrene is best described as a thyroid-oriented metabolism formula rather than a simple stimulant-heavy thermogenic. Its structure centers on iodine, chromium polynicotinate, L-tyrosine, L-carnitine, guggulsterones, ALA, coleus forskohlii, and Poly-Thyronine, which points to metabolic support through hormone-related and nutrient-utilization pathways.

How much iodine does Thyrene contain, and why does that matter?

Thyrene provides 150 mcg of iodine from kelp. That matters because iodine is required for synthesis of the thyroid hormones T4 and T3, which regulate basal metabolic rate, but the formula wisely stays around the standard physiologic intake range instead of using an unnecessarily aggressive megadose.

Is the chromium dose in Thyrene effective?

Thyrene includes 175 mcg of chromium as chromium polynicotinate, a respected form for absorption and insulin-signaling support. Clinical research often uses roughly 200-400 mcg, so this lands just below the lower end of the common studied range but is still a meaningful inclusion for glucose metabolism support.

Does Thyrene fully disclose all active ingredient doses?

No. Several vitamins and minerals are clearly disclosed, including niacin, B6, B12, folate, iodine, phosphorus, and chromium, but key actives such as L-tyrosine, coleus forskohlii, guggulsterones, L-carnitine, Poly-Thyronine, and ALA do not have disclosed amounts in the available formula data.

Will I feel Thyrene immediately like a pre-workout?

Probably not in the same way you would feel a high-caffeine pre-workout. This formula is better evaluated over 2-4 weeks of consistent use, where the goal is steadier metabolic support, smoother energy, and better support during a fat-loss phase rather than an instant performance spike.

Can I stack Thyrene with pre-workout?

Yes, many users likely will, because Thyrene is not designed like a pump or performance pre-workout. That said, you should be careful with total stimulant exposure because product metadata flags stimulant presence while total caffeine is not disclosed in the current data.

Is Thyrene safe to use with thyroid medication?

You should not combine it with thyroid medication without approval from your clinician. Iodine, L-tyrosine, guggulsterones, and Poly-Thyronine all intersect with thyroid physiology, and that makes self-stacking inappropriate if you are already managing thyroid function medically.

What does L-carnitine do in Thyrene?

L-carnitine helps transport long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria so they can be oxidized for ATP production. It is one of the most mechanistically credible inclusions in metabolism products, although the exact amount in Thyrene is not disclosed, which limits dose-specific evaluation.

Is Thyrene a good choice for beginners?

It is better for intermediate users than complete beginners. The formula concept is solid, but because several active doses are undisclosed and the product touches thyroid biology, it is not the ideal first supplement for someone who has never used a metabolism product before.

How long should I use Thyrene before judging results?

Give it at least 2-4 weeks of consistent daily use. The most evidence-grounded parts of the formula support metabolic systems that work gradually, so this is not a product to judge by a single serving.

Works as advertised, but included USB-C cable was defective.
Size: 15.6" 1080P
This monitor performs great! Picture quality, brightness, all work as expected. When powered by a phone, you may have to limit the brightness below 80% if you don't attach extra power. The good news is, I can attach a power bank for the extra power, and any extra power not needed by the monitor will pass through and charge my phone. I've tested this with my laptop, phone, and tablet, and it works great in all cases. One extra plus that I didn't expect, because it was not listed in the product description and also not mentioned in any reviews that I saw, is that this monitor has VESA compatible holes for a VESA mount hidden behind the magnetic cover on the back. Beautiful. If I ever decide to mount it to an arm I can do it. All the advertised functionality works as expected with ONE exception. The USB-C cable that came with this monitor was faulty. It had a short across a couple of wires which could have caused damage to my phone had my phone not recognized it and alerted me of foreign object or water in the port. That water and foreign object warning basically means something is causing wires to be connected that shouldn't be and assumes you have a good cable. In my case, it was the cable itself that was faulty, and I used a tester to make sure. While the description says "do not use other USB-C to USB-C cables", that is just to cover themselves, because many people will use a USB-C cable meant only for charging, or one that is not display compatible. I have cables of varying lengths that are Thunderbolt USB-C which all handle between 100-240W power, data up to 100Gbps, and displays up to 8K. I just used one of my cables and everything works just fine. If you're having trouble with your monitor, or intermittent connections with the monitor (I did before I got the warning) then you may have a bad cable. Get a quality cable and make sure it's rated for display port, high data throughput (ideally minimum 40Gbps), and decent power capacity. Some will work for data but not power. Some work with power but not data. Some work with power and data, but only one at a time. You have to flip the connector to go between modes. I don't know why they make those, and those that manufacture such garbage should be locked up, but that's another story for another day. Bottom line is this. It's a quality monitor. If it ever starts having issues, I'll update the review. The cables I'm not so sure of. The HDMI cable is sufficient enough for FHD display, but I wouldn't recommend swapping it over to a higher res monitor, as it probably can't handle it. The USB-C cable has quality control issues, as they sourced out inexpensive cables for this monitor to keep the costs down. No big deal for me, as I have an abundance of good cables, but keep that in mind that you may need to consider the cost of quality cables for this monitor. I'm glad I bought it. It's going to make me much more productive. While I was disappointed in the USB-C cable, it's not a deal breaker as I already had plenty. Minus one star for the bad cable.

Versatile, Great size, great value and bright. A little heavy, but well worth the cost.
Size: 15.6" 1080P
I own two of these monitors, I have been very happy with them. I carry them in my backpack/laptop case with all of my needed accessories, and it just simply works. I work from home and I was looking for something that I could take with me when I travel. My typical home setup involves a 43" LG monitor in the center, and then four additional 1080P monitors. When I am on the road, I need something smaller to have more "real estate" to work with. I usually use a hotel 4k TV or 4k tv at the air BNB we stay at so that I don't have to the 43" LG, but sometimes I just use these two portable screens. I have held meetings from a roadside park from the back of my Suburban with these while we were camping, from Panera while mixing audio, from a waiting room at an office while waiting on someone to complete their day, etc. All in all, the two that I have allow me to streamline my workflow when travelling. I have multiple windows up during the workday; I gather information from those screens and consolidate/copy/paste/ reference the data on my main laptop screen in the front and center. These monitors simply allow me to replicate what I have at home, but on a smaller and (somewhat) lighter scale. The good: I am not a gamer, so I cannot comment on how these would work in a gaming setup, I work on documents and reporting. With that said, these have great color at a great size. I can fit my Macbook Pro, and up to four of these screens in my bag, plus all my accessories, including Jabra Engage 75 headset, Plantronics headset (backup) , Apple keyboard and mouse, StreamDeck, USB-C Hub, and when needed, a universal Docking station that uses DisplayLink technology (Dell UD22) to get the extra screens. Without that, the Mac won't support more than 3 or 4 displays (Check specs for your PC/Mac). I like that these are USB-C *AND* HDMI. I can use them on pretty much any modern PC. To use the HDMI, however, You do need to power the monitor over USB-C with the provided cable. That's not a product issue, it's simply because that's the way HDMI works, there is no power over the cable. VESA capable, which is a big plus, I have magnetic VESA arms and I leave the plates on these monitors so I can use them anywhere. The bad: The rotator dial on the side has a tendency to get smashed in, but I don't use audio on either of the screens. I have a Bluetooth noise cancelling over the hear headphone set for that. A more solid design would have been with tactile push buttons instead of the rotator dial. I only have this problem with one of the screens. When I put them the backpack, I now put them in with the rotator dial pointed up to ensure a drop of the bag doesn't chance damaging the equipment. The ugly: The weight of the screens and associated covers adds about 2.5 lbs each, which is a lot. I have ordered two more, so that will be 10 lbs in the laptop backpack. May need to switch to a roller bag to cart this entourage around. Once I get the other two, I will revise this review. Right now I don't know if I will have to use the UD22 to utilize all of these screens simultaneously.

Great product for a great price
Size: 15.6" 1080P
I REALLY like this. I need 2 screens to do my job efficiently and have struggled lately when traveling. Splurged on this for myself and was really impressed. It’s nice and lightweight but feels sturdy. The image quality is good. The set up could not be easier. This is a game changer for me.

Works pretty well for a cheap monitor
Size: 15.6" 1080P
I work remote and travel, so I miss my multi monitor setup. Not anymore. I took this on a trip with me and it was great. The stand folded over to not take up too much desk space, the cables wear just long enough, another 6” would have been great but they worked. Quality of the screen is plenty good enough for office work, I have no gaming or artwork experience with it though. If you need an inexpensive 2nd monitor , this works great for on the go or even for a regular desk.

Great portable second screen
Size: 15.6" 1080P
Really convenient for a second screen on the go. The display looks sharp and it’s lightweight enough to carry around easily. Setup is simple, just plug and play. Not super bright, but works well for most uses.
