Essencia is the world's rarest and most concentrated essence of grapes. It has so little alcohol 1.65% that the legal definition of wine only applies due to a special exception. Perfect humid climatic conditions are needed to encourage and form noble rot, depriving the grapes of 90% of their juice and shrivelling them into rich raisins. Each berry is harvested individually. Back at the winery they are heaped together in collecting bins, drop by drop the juice seeps from these raisined grapes, there is not enough to fill a barrel so this rare liquid is transferred into glass demijohns and taken down into Royal Tokaji's deep, dark, historic cellars. In the cool cellar conditions a gentle change gradually occurs, over seven years, transforming the sugar, acids and flavours of the grapes into a unique, perfumed, unctuous syrup so rich that it can only be sipped.Shipping Notes

Cheap and unstable

Although this has nothing to do with the product, it arrived a day later than previously stated. Making me have to create a makeshift room divider the day it was actually needed. When the product arrived it arrived in a box that showed no evidence of damage. Once opened, divider was found inside a plastic cover. Great protector for dust or scratching. The divider was fully assembled so there was nothing for me to do but remove it from packaging and use it where needed. After further inspection the divider was not only cheap and flimsy looking it was absolutely unstable. It would wobble and appears to have been assembled in a rush making some panels crooked. I noted significant damage to the bottom portion of some of the panels both front and back. It does not feel like an item worth the price. The color is as advertised and the product had no smell. The sizing was accurate.
