First of all, the question must be allowed: Can the 12-channel QUANTUM processor be made better at all? Very clear: YES and NO. Improving a QL812SP in the area of digital sound processing is almost impossible. With the ADAU1452, pretty much the best DSP processors from Analog Devices currently available are already in use. And two of them. So ESX starts with the equipment of the new QE812SP model and expands the DSP with a fully-fledged and independent HD audio player, which is now integrated in the device as standard. In this way, virtually lossless audio formats (e.g. FLAC, WAV, AIFF) stored directly on an USB stick or other medium can be played. The highlight here is that these files are even better than CD quality, since the sampling rate for Hi-Res recordings is over 48 kilohertz and the sampling depth is greater than 16 bits.

The player is controlled via the supplied wireless remote control RC-BT or alternatively via the high-quality, optionally available cable remote controller RC-QE with a large LCD color display. The player can even be connected to a monitor or radio with video input via the existing video output. You can also control the entire DSP via Bluetooth using a tablet or smartphone using the ESX Toolkit App.
