A new, optimized design with a large friction surface for more braking power and less brake fade. The redesigned aluminum spider provides better heat dissipation and has improved aerodynamic properties. The 7-point friction ring mount reduces disc vibrations, which also reduces noise during braking.
The rounded edges on the top of the disc minimize the risk of injury and comply with the guidelines of the UCI (International Cycling Union). Another advantage is that they facilitate wheel installation because the rounded top prevents jamming in the brake caliper.
