10g Citrulline. 3g NO3-T®. Nearly 400mg layered energy.

Core Nutritionals Ascension Elite is a top-shelf pre-workout with everything out in the open, made to boost every part of your workout with doses that match what studies show works, without making you pick between pumps, energy, focus, or stamina. It's not about one star ingredient—it's a full setup. In one 40g scoop, you get nitric oxide boosters, hydration helpers, endurance support, energy reloaders, brain aids, electrolytes, and stims that kick in quick and last.

The pump side is stacked. You get 10,000mg of L-Citrulline, which is more than the usual 3-8g from research—citrulline boosts arginine levels better than taking arginine straight, leading to better blood flow and nitric oxide for those full-muscle feels. Then there's 3,000mg of NO3-T® arginine nitrate for another way to ramp up nitric oxide through nitrates, working alongside citrulline for even better results. HydroPrime® at 2,000mg pulls in water for super hydration and bigger-looking muscles, while VasoDrive-AP® at 508mg—a special peptide from casein—helps keep blood vessels relaxed by blocking ACE. It's not a quick pump—it's one that sticks around with real hydration.

On performance, it's no joke. Beta-alanine is at 6,400mg, twice the standard 3.2g that builds up carnosine in muscles to fight off that burn from hard reps. Creatine monohydrate is a full 5,000mg, the daily dose that helps recharge ATP for more strength and better workouts over time. Taurine at 2,000mg suppor

Core Ascension Elite by Core Nutritionals contains 125mg Magnesium, a effective dose for muscle protein synthesis.

Key Highlights

  • 10,000mg L-Citrulline — this is a beast of a dose, higher than the usual research amounts for boosting nitric oxide and blood flow. You'll feel bigger pumps, better nutrient delivery to muscles, and that full, tight muscle look way more than with the standard 4-6g stuff.
  • 3,000mg NO3-T® Arginine Nitrate — this pre doesn't just hit one pump path. Citrulline handles the arginine side, nitrates cover another angle, so you get wider blood vessels and better flow than single-ingredient options.
  • 508mg VasoDrive-AP® — this patented peptide from milk isn't common at this dose in regular pre-workouts. It supports blood vessel health in its own way, adding to citrulline and nitrates for pumps that last longer without overlapping too much.
  • 2,000mg HydroPrime® — a solid glycerol hit that hydrates you up, swells muscle cells, and makes your arms or legs look pumped and full. It backs up the nitric oxide with real water support, not just empty promises.
  • 6,400mg Beta-Alanine — this endurance dose is way above the usual 3.2g that loads carnosine in muscles. Stick with it, and you'll push through high-rep sets without the burn hitting as fast.
  • 5,000mg Creatine Monohydrate — the full daily dose of the king of strength supps. No need to add extra creatine—this covers the research-backed amount for power, energy, and gains.
  • 2,000mg L-Tyrosine — a good amount for intense workouts where you need focus under pressure. Tyrosine helps make dopamine and norepinephrine, so you get energy that's controlled, not wild, even with all the stims.
  • 600mg Alpha-GPC 50% — gives about 300mg of active stuff, a solid choline source for better focus and connecting mind to muscle. With huperzine A, it's a real brain boost beyond just caffeine.

Who Is This For?

  • Bodybuilders in high-volume phases who want every rep to feel solid, not just a quick buzz. 10g citrulline, 3g NO3-T®, 2g HydroPrime®, 508mg VasoDrive-AP® make killer pumps, with taurine and electrolytes holding it through long hauls.
  • Advanced lifters who love strong pres and need more than caffeine. Nearly 394.5mg caffeine plus synephrine and rauwolscine for folks wanting big energy with real blood flow, focus, hydration, and stamina.
  • Strength folks in build-up blocks where fighting fatigue is key. 6.4g beta-alanine and 5g creatine help with repeat efforts, energy reload, and handling volume, especially consistent.
  • Lifters chasing that mind-muscle link without getting wired and distracted. 2g L-tyrosine, Alpha-GPC, CognatiQ®, huperzine A sharpen focus for precise, intent-driven sets.
  • Athletes in hot or sweaty workouts needing hydration beyond pumps. Sodium, potassium, magnesium, taurine, glycerol keep fluids balanced to maintain output when sweat tries to drag you down.
  • Tired of shady labels? This one's all out there, with doses at or above study levels, easy to check against real info.

How to Use

Best to take 20-30 minutes pre-gym so fast caffeine and pumps are ready for working sets. It's high-stim with about 394.5mg caffeine plus synephrine and rauwolscine, so newbies start with 1 scoop to test. Mix in 14-20 oz cold water shaker-style; more water makes it taste better, especially with glycerol and big doses. Empty stomach for quicker hit, light meal to ease it if you're sensitive. Don't stack other stims unless you're sure. No need for extra creatine, beta-alanine, or pumps—it's covered. Good to add protein or intra hydration instead. Tolerance builds, so save full scoops for big days or mix in low-stim breaks. Keep it sealed cool and dry to avoid clumps.

What to Expect

First 0-10 minutes: taste hits, stomach settles, stims start creeping in, especially empty stomach. 10-20 minutes: caffeine ramps, 6.4g beta-alanine tingles kick, workout feels more exciting and focused. 20-40 minutes: that's the peak—citrulline, nitrates, glycerol, tyrosine, caffeine bring drive, pumps, and lock-in you can feel. 40-90 minutes: dual caffeine keeps energy steady, not dropping like plain stuff, with hydration and pumps holding up better. Days 1-7: pumps, focus, energy right away, but creatine and beta-alanine are building. Weeks 2-4: carnosine and creatine levels up, formula feels stronger in late sets, not just the start.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in Core Nutritionals Ascension Elite Pre-Workout?

At the full 2-scoop serving, Ascension Elite provides 300mg caffeine anhydrous plus 135mg zümXR® standardized to 70% caffeine, yielding about 94.5mg more. That brings total caffeine to roughly 394.5mg per serving, before accounting for the stimulatory contribution of synephrine and rauwolscine.

Is Ascension Elite a beginner-friendly pre-workout?

No. This is an advanced-user formula with nearly 400mg total caffeine, 30mg synephrine from bitter orange, and 2mg rauwolscine. Beginners or anyone without strong stimulant tolerance should start with a lower-stim formula or at minimum assess tolerance with 1 scoop.

Why does this formula use both L-citrulline and NO3-T® arginine nitrate?

They support nitric oxide through different pathways. Citrulline increases arginine availability for the arginine-NO route, while nitrates use the nitrate-nitrite-NO pathway. Using both is a more comprehensive pump strategy than relying on one mechanism alone.

Does Ascension Elite include a full daily dose of creatine?

Yes. It contains 5,000mg creatine monohydrate per full serving, which is the classic clinical daily dose used to support strength, power, and muscle phosphocreatine saturation.

Why do I feel tingling after taking it?

That sensation comes from beta-alanine, which is dosed here at 6,400mg. The tingling, called paresthesia, is harmless and common at higher doses, especially when taken all at once.

How should I dose Ascension Elite if I have never used it before?

Start with 1 scoop to evaluate tolerance. The full serving is very aggressive due to the stimulant load and the inclusion of rauwolscine, so jumping straight to 2 scoops is not smart unless you already know you tolerate advanced pre-workouts well.

Can I stack Ascension Elite with coffee or a fat burner?

That is usually not advisable. With roughly 394.5mg caffeine plus synephrine and rauwolscine already in the formula, adding coffee, energy drinks, or stimulant fat burners can push the total stimulant load too high for many users.

Is this product more about pump or energy?

It is both, but unusually strong on each side. The pump stack is elite with 10g citrulline, 3g NO3-T®, 2g HydroPrime®, and 508mg VasoDrive-AP®, while the energy side is firmly high stim with dual-release caffeine, synephrine, and rauwolscine.

Does this formula need to be cycled?

The non-stimulant performance ingredients like creatine and beta-alanine do not require cycling and actually work best with consistent use. The stimulant side may benefit from occasional lower-stim days or periodic breaks if you notice caffeine tolerance building.

Does Ascension Elite contain any allergen concerns?

It contains VasoDrive-AP®, which is derived from casein, a milk protein. Anyone with dairy allergy or milk protein sensitivity should review that ingredient carefully before use.

Fallen Angels, fae, vampires, oh my!
Format: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 | Spice: 2 (but a good slow-burn) • Main Characters: Huntyr and Wolf • I couldn’t wait to read this book; there was so much hype about it! And there was no doubt why. I fell in love with the characters and the plot itself. This book is mainly plot driven more than friction driven but it’s easy to follow along with. The characters are fun, easily understood. The main setting is at an academy where both the main characters are going through trials and building strength for the final test, The Transcendent. There are fantastic side characters as well. I loved the camaraderie between Huntyr and her friends. But we don’t like Lanson. 😆 We do have some plot twists that come into play throughout the book. Secrets and betrayal to be seen. I did adore Wolf and Huntyr’s relationship. It was a classic slow burn trope. They didn’t hit it off fast, but in time their feelings grew. I loved their banter, so sexy. Wolf is your next book boyfriend; Huntyr is your next vampire assassin independent bad-a*s female. Themes include loyalty, trust, self-discovery, a true slow burn romance. Side note: book ends on a angsty cliffhanger! • Emily, thank you for writing this awesome novel and I cannot wait to devour Book 2, Blood So Brutal! 😍 • Happy reading, my lovelies! xo

“My heart bows to you and you only, Huntress.”
Format: Kindle
3.5 🌟 This book popped up in my KU recommended reading suggestions and the synopsis sounded like what I was in the mood for. I'm so glad I took a chance on it. I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about it and ended up really liking it. I love when this happens. The main characters are likeable and I easily found myself rooting for them. There is a mystery element to each of their backstories that I enjoyed watching unfold and can't wait to get more of. Wolf, in particular, has me fixated. Love him. I found this to be an entertaining, addictive read with a plot that moves along at a good pace. It reads so easily I found myself very reluctant to put it down. Lots of twists and turns and the angst is there. A good set up for the next book to come, for sure. My issues with this book....the dialogue feels a bit juvenile at times and there is a repetitive over use of a particular word phrasing that I found myself giving the ole eye-roll to. There are, without a doubt, some pretty cliche moments that gave me a bit of the cringe. I think this could've certainly 100% benefited from more depth regarding the world building. Perhaps the world building was sacrificed to keep the pacing quick? Just a guess. Also, the lack of consistency of character for the FMC was really evident and so she feels quite illogical at times. Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable read that hit the spot well enough for me. That ending certainly has me impatiently pining for book 2!

Interesting take on the genre
Format: Kindle
True rating: 3.25 ⭐️ I enjoyed the fresh take on the genre. The best way I could describe the setting and world is an apocalyptic dystopian version of Farie where vampires, fae, and angles struggle to survive in what is left of the world. It was definitely interesting throwing the academy/hunger games aspect into this world as well. Even though I guessed the final reveal early on in the book, I kept hoping I was wrong, and it would take a surprising turn. While the "plot twists" were a bit predictable to me, I still enjoyed the ride this book took me on. Another downfall for me was the plot holes in the world building... I.E. if society has fallen and the world is in the aftermath of war, how are there trains running around the world? Just to take young adults to the trials to get into the golden city? How is the train maintained, the tracks clear, etc? However, I did enjoy the FMC & MMC and thought they were fleshed out nicely. I also enjoyed the side characters but wish some were developed more like Ashalin (sp?). I do find myself rooting for the MCs to succeed and find happiness together, which is obviously an important aspect for romantasy. Overall, was this an earth-shattering, mind-bending, terrific piece of literature? No. But was it the worst thing I've read this year? Also, no. This book has, to me, the bones of a great read & just needs a bit more to push it from an alright book to a great book. Overall ratings: Plot- 3.5⭐️ World building 3⭐️ Spice 2.5 🌶🌶 Main characters 4 ⭐️ Supporting characters 3.5⭐️

great book
Format: Kindle
I am really excited to meet the author at the book retreat this month. I really enjoyed this world that she built and most of the female main character Huntress is so awesome. She goes through a lot in this book and the ending; wow! I wouldn't have even guessed. I highly recommend everyone to read this book. I have been so lucky this year that almost all the books I have read have been, so far, 5 out 5 stars.

Fallen for the Fallen Angel – A Guilty Pleasure Worth Every Page
Format: Kindle
There’s something deeply irresistible about a dark academia or trial-based setting, a brooding and arrogant fallen angel, and a fierce heroine with enough sass to go toe-to-toe with him. Wings So Wicked is exactly that kind of book—and I devoured it in just a couple of days. To be fair, the plot isn’t groundbreaking. If you’re looking for something fresh and innovative in terms of storyline, this might not be it. But if your reader heart beats faster at the mere mention of enemies-to-lovers, jealousy-fueled banter, magical trials, betrayals, and forbidden tension—you’ll feel right at home. It’s like catnip for those of us with this particular weakness. The chemistry between the leads could have used a slightly slower burn to make the tension sizzle longer, but I still found myself completely invested in their dynamic. There are moments and phrases that feel a bit cheesy or underdeveloped, but honestly? I didn’t care. The vibes were exactly what I wanted. This book isn’t trying to reinvent the genre—it’s here to give readers like me what we crave: high-stakes magical drama, angsty romance, and the thrill of watching a badass girl and her brooding counterpart clash and spark. If that sounds like your kind of story, Wings So Wicked will hit the mark. Here’s hoping Book 2 turns up the heat and keeps the magic alive.
