Why You'll Love It

The Verdant Duo Bezel Diamond & Emerald Ring is the emerald counterpart to our Blush Duo — a 1.8mm slim polished band with two round bezel-set stones placed side by side at the top: a lab-grown emerald in the larger bezel and a lab-grown diamond in the smaller bezel, the two bezels touching so that the stones appear to lean into each other. The slim band disappears beneath the two stones, making the duo the entire visual focus of the ring — a small, precise composition of vivid green and white fire that reads as a single shape from a distance and reveals its two distinct stones up close. The bezel setting — a continuous rim of gold wrapped around each stone — gives the Verdant Duo a clean, modern profile with no raised prongs to catch on fabric or hair, and the touching bezels create a connection between the two stones that gives the ring its character: two different stones, two different colors, held together by the gold that surrounds them.

  • Emerald: Lab-grown, vivid green, eye-clean
  • Diamond: Lab-grown, colorless, eye-clean
  • Conflict-free, ethically sourced

Design Details

  • Band width: 1.8mm — slim, delicate, disappears beneath the stone duo
  • Band profile: Round, high-polish finish
  • Setting: Full bezel, both stones — smooth, snag-free profile
  • Stone configuration: Side-by-side, touching bezels — larger lab emerald, smaller lab diamond
  • Available in: 14K Yellow Gold, 14K White Gold, 14K Rose Gold

The Touching Bezels

The defining detail of the Verdant Duo is the relationship between the two bezels — they touch. The gold rim of the emerald bezel and the gold rim of the diamond bezel share a wall at the point where they meet, so that the two stones appear to be in contact with each other, held together by the gold that surrounds them. This touching-bezel configuration is the most intimate two-stone setting in fine jewelry: it implies connection, proximity, closeness — two different things that belong together. The larger emerald bezel and the smaller diamond bezel create a slight size differential that gives the duo a visual hierarchy: the vivid green emerald is the primary stone, the colorless diamond is its companion, and the two together create a composition that is more interesting than either stone alone.

Why Lab-Grown Stones?

Both the emerald and the diamond in the Verdant Duo are lab-grown — chemically, physically, and optically identical to their mined counterparts, grown in controlled environments that produce stones with greater consistency, greater clarity, and greater ethical transparency than mined stones. Lab-grown emeralds are especially well-suited to the bezel setting: the full circumferential support of the bezel protects the emerald from the chipping and fracturing that can affect prong-set stones, and the consistency of lab-grown stones ensures that the emerald and diamond in each ring are matched for quality and appearance.

The 1.8mm Band

The 1.8mm band of the Verdant Duo is among the slimmest bands we make — a round-profile polished shank that is narrow enough to disappear beneath the stone duo, making the two bezels appear to float on the finger rather than sit on a band. The slim band also makes the Verdant Duo the most stackable ring in our collection: its 1.8mm width allows it to sit flush against other bands without adding significant bulk, and its round profile means it nests comfortably against both flat and rounded shanks. Wear it alone for a minimal, color-forward look. Stack it with the Blush Duo Pink Sapphire Ring for a green-and-pink color duo that is immediately striking. Layer it with the Verdant Eternity Emerald Ring for a full emerald stack that moves from slim to substantial.

The Green & White Composition

The vivid green of the lab emerald and the colorless brilliance of the lab diamond create a two-color composition that is simultaneously bold and refined — the green reads as vivid and saturated against the white diamond beside it, and the white diamond appears more brilliant against the vivid green of the emerald. In yellow gold, the warm metal deepens the green of the emerald into something botanical and rich. In white gold, the cool metal makes the emerald appear more saturated and more vivid, and the diamond more icy and brilliant. In rose gold, the warm blush metal gives the green stone a romantic, garden-party quality that is completely unexpected and completely beautiful.

Gifting & Occasions

The Verdant Duo is the ideal gift for May birthdays (emerald is the May birthstone), Taurus season, anniversaries, and any occasion that calls for a piece that is simultaneously delicate and distinctive. Its slim band and two-stone configuration make it a natural choice for a promise ring, a stacking ring, or a right-hand ring that carries personal meaning. It pairs naturally with the Blush Duo Pink Sapphire Ring for a coordinated two-ring gift.

Our Story

In our Queens atelier, the Verdant Duo was designed as the emerald sibling of the Blush Duo — the same 1.8mm slim band, the same touching-bezel construction, the same side-by-side duo configuration, but in the vivid green of a lab-grown emerald rather than the warm pink of a genuine sapphire. Named for the Latin viridis — green, fresh, flourishing — the Verdant Duo is an emerald ring for those who want their birthstone in the most intimate and most wearable format we make.

below average value but decent quality on this 95.4% Polyester, 4.6% Spandex dress shirt
Special Size: Black Buttons, Size: Large, Color: Sky Blue, Special Size: Black Buttons, Size: Large, Color: Sky Blue
At $20 when I picked this up, it was overpriced for what it was. I'm held accountable to the value assigned to me at the time I select to review it, so I review the value based on what was assigned not on what it later becomes if they discount it. As I write this I can see it is in a value range it should have been for me, but I'm still reviewing it at the $20. That's overpriced on a 95.4% Polyester, 4.6% Spandex shirt (i.e., non-cotton) and so the value here is a 1/5 or 2/5, say 1.5/5 for it. In terms of quality, this is a poly dress shirt. Still, I'd call this a 4/5 for what it is. The standard is cotton, and in my experience, as someone in ties and collared shirts all day, I would note that I do prefer a 95 cotton/5 spandex blend, with the challenge that its not the most wrinkle free material. This blend, 95 poly/5 spandex, is a very wrinkle free and smooth feeling material. Poly has better durability than cotton despite feeling thinner, because it won't fray as much. That said, even though it's lightweight, poly will make you hotter because it doesn't breathe like cotton. It feels light, so you think it is going to be cooler, but in practice actually isn't really if it's a hot day. It can make you sweat more. That said, many people like poly blends for the ease of maintenance. I've given up dry cleaning, just too much, and I do like to avoid an iron, so I tested this out because of it. For me this fit well. I ordered a large (typically I prefer to wear a 16.5/34/35, and I'm 5'11, 185) and this fit well. It's not a slim fit (tapered bottom) for those who might complain about extra material. But it fit well. I put it through both the wash and dryer. It did not shrink (poly usually doesn't) to be out of size, but was fine, and of course came out without wrinkles. The collars have no stays, these poly shirts hardly ever do, but I have found they mostly remain flat, since the material doesn't tend to wrinkle, and thus my points stay in place just fine. At a 1.5 on value and a 4 on quality, this is a 2.75/5 average for me. Again, value plays a big part for me. So, full disclosure a better value would have raised my rating on this. But hopefully, based on what I covered above, you have enough to figure out if this shirt is worth it to you or not.

Nice dress shirt
Special Size: Black Buttons, Size: Large, Color: Grey
This shirt is a super soft and an awesome style, which I really love. The material is a soft cotton and that doesn’t irritate my skin. It is breathable, but also keeps you relatively warm. It’s very nice looking on and would be okay for everyday wear. It has been used many times going out with jeans or shorts out. I wash and dry it regularly in a machine and still looks just as new as the out of box condition. There is no pilling, fabric change, or shrinking. The style is flattering, cut well, and runs true to size. Other shirts owned feel similar to this one, which meets expectations and is a nice shirt for the price. I do wish it had a pocket though. Ultimately would purchase again.
