Description

Bespoke Glass-Topped Garden Stake | 4 Sizes, 4 FinishesThe single stake version of the same beautiful glass feature design from our LV Bespoke range. One steel stake topped with a chosen glass effect prism, clear, cracked or bubble to place wherever it suits you. Lovely as a standalone piece, particularly compelling in twos and threes scattered through a border at slightly different points. From LV Bespoke, our trusted Norfolk maker supplied in raw steel, designed to weather and rust into a soft patina

The single-stake version of the same beautiful glass-feature design from our LV Bespoke range. One steel stake topped with a chosen glass effect — prism, clear, cracked or bubble — to place wherever it suits you. Lovely as a standalone piece, particularly compelling in twos and threes scattered through a border at slightly different points.

From LV Bespoke, our trusted Norfolk maker — supplied in raw steel, designed to weather and rust into a soft patina that lets the piece settle into your garden as if it had always belonged there. Available in four glass diameters, from the slim 40mm everyday option up to the substantial 100mm focal piece.

Choose your finish

Four glass finishes, each with its own visual character (the four finishes are available on the smaller 40mm and 60mm sizes; the larger 80mm and 100mm are clear glass only):

  • Prism — faceted spheres designed to catch and refract light. Particularly lovely in afternoon sun, where they cast small rainbow patterns onto surrounding planting. Available at 40mm and 60mm
  • Clear (photography ball) — clear glass spheres, properly transparent. The most versatile of the finishes; works in any garden style. Available across all four sizes (40mm, 60mm, 80mm, 100mm)
  • Cracked glass — clear spheres with internal crackle effects that catch light beautifully without colour. The most subtle of the finishes. Available at 40mm and 60mm
  • Bubble glass — clear glass spheres with bubbles trapped inside. A quieter, more atmospheric finish; gentle rather than dramatic. Available at 40mm and 60mm

The four finishes do quite different work in a garden. The prism creates active rainbow effects in sunlight; the cracked and bubble glasses play with internal texture without colour; the clear photography ball gives pure transparency that catches whatever's behind it.

Choose your size

Four diameter options, working through different visual scales:

  • 40mm — the smallest and most affordable option at £15. Perfect for groups of three or more scattered through a border, or as a slim accent in a smaller space
  • 60mm — a comfortable middle scale at £20. Works as a single feature or in pairs; substantial enough to be a focal point without dominating
  • 80mm — the substantial scale at £30. Available in clear glass only; makes a properly visible statement piece. Better suited to larger containers and open garden positions
  • 100mm — the most substantial option at £45. Clear glass only; a properly serious focal piece for paved gardens, formal courtyards, or somewhere you want the stake itself to read as a sculptural element rather than a subtle accent

For most cottage garden borders, the 40mm or 60mm options blend in naturally. For a paved courtyard, gravel garden or where you want the stake to read as a sculptural element in its own right, the 80mm or 100mm clear versions make the stronger statement.

Where it looks loveliest

Single stakes work beautifully both individually and grouped:

  • Tucked amongst herbaceous planting — the smaller stake diameters disappearing into the border, glass top emerging as a small surprise above the foliage
  • In containers — particularly the larger glass sizes, where the stake reads as part of the container's design rather than competing with it
  • Beside a path or doorway — at adult eye-level, catching light as you walk past
  • In a gravel garden or paved courtyard — where the rust patina works beautifully against weathered stone
  • By a sitting spot or bench — at proper viewing distance, particularly lovely with a prism finish in afternoon sun
  • In groups of two or three at slightly different points — creating a small visual conversation between the stakes. Mixing diameters in a group can be properly lovely — one 60mm and two 40mm, scattered at different distances, gives a quiet sculptural rhythm
  • As a marker for something — a planted bulb, a recent transplant, somewhere you want to remember a particular spot in winter when the garden looks bare

If you're attracted to the visual but want a properly grouped feature rather than a single stake, our Cluster of 3 Glass/Marble Garden Features (three taller stakes sold as a coordinated set) or Cluster of 5 Feature Glass (single stake with five glass features on splayable stalks) offer the same finishes in different configurations.

The rust patina

The steel stake is supplied raw and designed to develop a natural rust patina over time, particularly outdoors. Within a few weeks they'll begin to take on a warm, mottled rust tone; over months and seasons it deepens further. The contrast between rust-toned steel and bright glass is properly beautiful as it ages.

The glass finish itself doesn't change — it keeps its original character indefinitely.

If you'd prefer to slow the rusting, a clear protective wax or matte lacquer applied to the steel before placement will hold off the patina considerably. Most owners come to love the natural ageing.

Specifications

  • Glass diameter options: 40mm, 60mm, 80mm, 100mm
  • Finishes: Prism, Clear, Cracked, Bubble (full range at 40mm and 60mm; Clear only at 80mm and 100mm)
  • Material: Raw steel stake with hand-finished glass feature top
  • Finish: Steel designed to develop a natural rust patina; glass finish as chosen variant
  • Use: Outdoor garden — amongst planting, in containers, in courtyards, as visual markers
  • Made by: LV Bespoke, North Norfolk

A small honest note: these are decorative stakes rather than functional plant supports. They'll happily sit beside a plant that needs support, but for actual stem-and-bulb support work, our LV Bespoke Aeonium Stem Plant Support or a set of garden canes with twine would be the better option.

The single-stake / cluster-of-three / cluster-of-five family

This single-stake version sits within a small family of LV Bespoke pieces sharing the same glass finishes. Useful to know what each version offers:

  • Single Glass Stake (this) — one stake with one glass feature. The most affordable and flexible — buy one, two, or three to scatter through a border
  • Cluster of 3 Glass/Marble — three separate tall stakes sold as a coordinated set in your chosen finish. Designed to be placed apart amongst planting, creating a visual rhyme
  • Cluster of 5 Feature Glass — single stake with five glass features on splayable stalks emerging from one base. A properly substantial focal piece in 13 finish options including the four glass effects and 9 named marble designs

If you're not sure which configuration suits you: single stakes are the most flexible (you can change your mind, add more, move them around); the cluster of 3 gives a coordinated grouping at scale; the cluster of 5 is a properly substantial single statement piece.

Other LV Bespoke pieces

The wider LV Bespoke range carries the same Norfolk-made character — pieces age beautifully alongside each other:

  • 3D Orb Decorative Garden Stake — single tall stake with embedded 3D designs (dragonflies, butterflies, hummingbirds, more)
  • Cluster of 5 Marbles — splayable five-stalk piece in your choice of marble colours
  • Cluster of 5 Cups or Balls — five cups (functional for water, seed, tealights) or solid balls on a single stake, in two heights
  • Bird & Insect Garden Stakes — silhouette and cast designs in two heights
  • Butterfly Garden Stakes — sculpted butterflies in two heights
  • Bird Feeding Stake — generous hanging stake for feeders, fat balls and water dishes
  • Bee Drinker / Cuppy — single-cup pollinator water source with creature silhouette
  • Decorative Crown Garden Feature — sculptural surface piece (no stake)
  • Bespoke Marble Steel Crown — the marble-inlay version of the crown
  • Aeonium Stem Plant Support — small steel rings for keeping aeoniums upright
  • Garden Edging — bar-and-ball Victorian-style panels

About LV Bespoke

LV Bespoke is a small family business based in North Norfolk, run by Lawrence and Victoria Osborne (the "LV" of the name), founded in 2020. They hand-make garden features in their own workshop, exhibit regularly at RHS shows and Gardeners' World Live, and in 2022 were commissioned by the King's estate at Sandringham to create a "Sea of Crowns" installation as part of the Sandringham In Bloom celebration — properly serious provenance for a small Norfolk maker. In 2024 the UK Intellectual Property Office sided with them in a trademark dispute with Louis Vuitton, defending their right to trade as LV Bespoke — a quietly proud moment for a small family workshop.

Each piece is made by hand in raw steel, designed to do its job quietly, age gracefully, and look like it belongs. We're proud to stock their work; objects with this kind of character don't come from factories, they come from somebody's careful hands.

A small thought: the loveliest gardens are full of small considered details — a glint of glass amongst the foliage, an unexpected line of rust in the planting, a small visual surprise as you turn a corner. A single stake amongst your border doesn't need to do dramatic work — it just needs to be there, quietly, until you notice it. Some weeks you don't. Some weeks the prism catches afternoon sun and your border lights up briefly with a small rainbow. That's what these are for.

Amazing quality and well worth it!!!
Color: Black
Great watch! My son saw his friend have and was impressed so I got him one! This one doesn’t have a connection point from the band to the watch so it can’t break there which has been the issues with all his other watches. This is easy to setup and use! It worked so great that I got one for my other son! They both say the size and options are perfect! Highly recommend!

Great classic timepiece
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone, Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone
I’ve been using the Timex Men’s Ironman Triathlon Classic 30 (38mm) for a while now, and it’s easily one of the most dependable watches I’ve owned. The design is simple but functional — lightweight, comfortable, and perfect for workouts, outdoor activities, or just daily wear. The Indiglo backlight is super bright and makes it easy to read in the dark, and the buttons are responsive without feeling flimsy. The stopwatch and countdown timer features are straightforward and accurate, which I really appreciate for timing workouts. I also like that it’s water-resistant, so I never have to worry about it in the rain or while swimming. The 38mm size is just right — not too bulky, but still sporty and easy to read. The battery life is excellent, and the Timex durability definitely shows; this watch can take a beating and still look good. If you want something rugged, affordable, and practical, the Ironman Classic 30 is a solid choice. It’s a no-nonsense watch that does exactly what it’s supposed to — and does it well.

Lightweight, Options, and Ease of Use Make this a Great Watch
Color: Black
I have purchased many Timex watches over the years and I am entirely satisfied with this watch. I always buy the sports watch, as I swim and do triathlons. Things I like about the watch: *Setting the watch is easy and the instructions are clear (although the printed instructions are very small!) * The watch is not too big. So many watches have too many features and they are large, bulky, and heavy. This watch is sleek, has a low profile, and has a size that is ideal for average needs. * The numbers are big enough to see easily at a glance. * There are enough useful options, and this watch is not overloaded with too many options. Too many options are confusing to me. I like the simplicity of this watch and the ease of use of the options it has. * I like the plastic watch band. I have tried the velcro strap bands and they wear out after a year or so of use. The plastic band will eventually break, but is fairly easy to replace. * I like the price. At less than 35 dollars I have everything I need in a watch. * I like and use frequently the Indiglo feature. I have even used Indiglo to find my way to the bathroom at night from bed! The light on the dial is bright enough to make your way through the dark for a short trip! Things I don't like: There is not much I don't like about this Timex watch. I suppose my biggest complaint about this watch and any Timex watch is the difficulty in changing the battery. The battery will eventually need replacement, and of course one has to take off the back of the watch to replace the battery. This is tricky and takes a steady hand. I wish Timex would make the battery more accessible so changing the battery would be as easy as sliding one in or out of a hinged door (like on a hearing aid). Obviously, there is much more to like about this watch than not like. I do recommend it for a good sport watch. It will withstand chlorine pools, lake water, rainfall, high and low temperatures, but be careful not to scratch the dial window! I scratched the main window crystal and ruined my last watch. Avoid spraying any kind of bug repellant on the window as well, as this can mar (dull) the surface. For me, this watch meets all my needs and I give it a 5-star rating. My needs are faily simple. There are certainly other watches that offer more features, but to me, the added features add complexity and are not worth the added bother. The price is good. The watch is good quality. This is a good buy. Jim "Konedog" Koenig

Great watch; but why the triangle screws?
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone
I have been using these watches for many years with very good luck, and would normally give them 5 stars. They are comfortable, waterproof, durable, and have an alarm and a countdown timer. (The waterproof and countdown timer - that can be set to repeat - make them good for sailboat racing, and these are much cheaper than sailing watches. ) But at some point before the watch breaks, the battery will die. It is not hard to replace the battery. Except now the watch comes with triangle head screws holding the back on, rather than the regular phillips head screws they used to have. Why? Is it that important to keep people from opening up their watch? Making things harder to fix is a step in the wrong direction. Knocking off one star for that.

Still the champ.
Color: Black/Negative Digital/Gray, Color: Black/Negative Digital/Gray
I absolutely LOVE my Casio GBA800 that I have bully bars on, so she's quite huge. Analog with Bluetooth, pretty cool. If I ever remember to use such things. I have a phone and laptop on me usually, why do I need to play with my watch? I want to tell time, that's it. Comes along a good sale for an Ironman, and I used to be a complete fanatic for only Ironman for a real person's needs. Why not, I've been fighting the Casio all day with my coat cuff, let's get something a bit slimmer for when it's coat season. See if they're still great. Yup! Sure is. It's been probably 25 years ago last time I wore this style of Timex, and can you believe the button setup and beeps are all still the same as way back when! And somehow, my subconscious remembers the button presses. Wild. This thing is light as a feather, and I got the inverse LCD for fun, which is cool as all get out, but takes some getting used to. The Indiglo sure looks awesome, though, and she's like Knight Rider down there. Stealth. The display is big, and easy even for my old eyes, the band is supremely comfortable, and there's a strap catch that actually works correctly! With no Bluetooth, battery life should be outstanding - always used to be. Back when watch batteries were like $12 each. There goes my allowance! Lol. I'm very impressed by this timepiece. I really didn't mean to order order it, but, oh well. I love it as much as my Casio. Affordable tough watches rock!
