The Korg Z3 is a rare late-1980s guitar synthesiser module built around Yamaha’s YM2414 FM sound engine and engineered for fast, accurate pitch-to-synth conversion with a mere ~20 ms response time, enabling guitarists to blend real guitar output with rich multitimbral synth voices or trigger MIDI instruments; it’s prized by vintage gear hunters for its combination of “guitar synth” tracking speed, FM synthesis flexibility and cult-status rarity.
This unit has been thoroughly tested and confirmed to work with a Roland G-707 Guitar and also with MIDI.
Condition:
- This is a used unit.
- Physically this unit is in good condition for its age. It shows some general wear like some marks, nicks and scratches. Nothing major at all. Please see photos.
- This unit has been tested with MIDI and also with the Guitar Input at the front using a Roland G-707 guitar! It is fully functional and has no faults to note.
- Please be aware this unit is 100V. This means it MUST be used with a step-down transformer, not a travel adaptor. If you are unsure about this please let us know. We have some great, compatible step-downs for sale here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173909299338 They are designed in Australia for use in Australia and can be run 24/7.
- If you purchase from outside Australia you may need a step-down transformer to use this unit. Please contact us if you need any help sourcing the correct product.
- This sale is for the Z3 only. Nothing else is included.
