This plug and play kit includes everything you need for a trouble free installation on your Explorer ST or Aviator! In the box is an ESSIM unit (completely terminated and ready to connect), a Continental ethanol sensor mounted on a stainless steel bracket made just for your Explorer, vehicle specific low pressure fuel lines to and from the sensor, pre-terminated wiring harness adapters, all the hardware you need for a quality installation, and detailed installation instructions!
After pairing our Nostrum E85 module to your phone, download the Nostrum E85 app to your Android or iOS smart phone and see live data for ethanol content and fuel temperature. The location of the ethanol sensor gives you data as fuel is arriving at the engine, as opposed to back in the fuel tank!
The ESSIM module has analog, frequency, and CAN outputs that can all be used simultaneously and independently configured, integrating an ethanol module into your build has never been easier! For the Explorer ST & Aviator use the Analog Out option from our module into the Pro Input add-on cable for the HP Tuners interface to allow viewing & logging of ethanol percentage and fuel temperature in HP Tuners. The perfect data tool for your tuner!

Q: Will this allow for Flex Fuel tuning?
A: While the ESSIM can be used standalone to read ethanol content and temperature in any vehicle, certain vehicles can take advantage of the open outputs available on the ESSIM to integrate true Flex Fuel capability into their build. Talk with your tuner to see if this is an option for you!
