Emilie, Montreal-based singer-songwriter's first LP record, is entitled 10 000. Her songs are written with a vibrant, sensitive intellect; each is a world populated by the faces of fleeting passions. The extraordinary musical quality of these finely crafted pieces stems from another brilliant mind: Jesse Mac Cormack, Emilie's accomplice and producer since her late teens. For her LP, 10 000, Emilie wrote the lyrics and music, then fully constructed the songs with Jesse and her drummer Francis Ledoux. The record came into being upon a frigid February, in the sprawling house where Studio B-12 resides nestled in the woods of Valcourt. The 1969 dwelling by architect Jacques de Blois stands suspended in time. Sunlight pours through it's enormous windows, onto the retro-futuristic furnishings of rooms too numerous to count. In this eccentric venue, succumbing to one's vision becomes inevitable. Ogden sat in the basement, the drums and other instruments were set up in various other spaces, and meters upon meters of wiring snaked across the floors of uniquely shaped rooms. As with the Valcourt home, Emilie's immersive universe is made up of countless rooms, dissimilar yet housed under the same roof. Here, a folk-Art Nouveau ballad (Blame) beckons; there, a pop song pays tribute to the inaccessible (Ten Thousand, the deftly altered recollection of a biblical passage: "ten thousand talents that you'll never see").

It’s like sleeping on a beach in San Vito lo Capo

I’m a big meaty fella so I put off a lot of heat ya hear. These pillow cases have changed my life. One moment they’re hot and the next you flip them and you’re blasted with a blast of ice cool what it feels like to chew 5 gum feeling capeesh. I would reccomend these pillow cases to even my grandma. If ya wanta get a rest so good that it feels like ya been sleeping with the fishes get these pillow cases, they’re the real deal. Then stop at Pauline’s joint and grab a slice of pizza say Vinnie sent ya. Anyways I gotta go my wife’s cooking up a mean lasgna and we’re gonna watch the dodgers. Great for hair and skin. Great buy.
These pillow cases are great for my hair and skin. They look good, hold up well in the washer and dryer, and the price is great. They are cooling. Of course I wish they could be more cooling, but honestly I'm not sure that's even possible. Great pillow cases. Already bought more for other heads. Would buy again.

Hot hot hot. Side sleepers will hate it
At first touch, these are the coldest pillowcases I own … but only for seconds. Once you actually lay on them, within seconds they adjust to your body temp, the heat feels trapped, my head begins to feel hotter than before I laid down - which has in turn caused me loathe these pillow cases. I hate that I have missed the return window. Would never buy again, would never recommend. My satin ones aren’t even this hot! I gave them the good ole 30-day try.
Side sleepers - if you are like me and sleep on your side with arm tucked under pillow - flipping this pillow over in hopes of a cold side - forget it, it’s already hot from your arm.
