This robust, recycled plastic roost, handmade by the Amish, remains durable for many seasons while its brown and gray colors enhance your garden. A steeply pitched roof covers the shelter, and overhangs the front panel to prevent rain from reaching the interior. A 1" diameter entry hole provides wrens or chickadees access to the piece, and a bit of horizontal plastic beneath it forms a short perch. An opening at the top of the front panel helps ventilate the home, preventing overheating, and an attached cable here makes hanging the unit simple. One side panel opens for maintenance and nest checks, and the piece will stand upright on a table thanks to its level base. Stainless steel hardware offers strength to the unit, and the recycled plastic lumber decreases landfill waste.
